ULTRA annoyed!

I contacted Telstra's complaints line where I was told I had to contact ACMA or get a private number. I tried to explain I was already on the ACMA and a private number would not stop their marketing. I made it very clear I wanted to "OPT OUT OF MARKETING" however, I was rudely told "Don't tell me how to do my job". After having to escalate the matter to a supervisor, I was able to "OPT OUT OF MARKETING" as I had requested, but not without being spoken to rudely with the supervisor saying, "So you don't even want us to try sell you a phone face to face?" In an extremely rude manner. So sick of Telstra's service levels. They are absolutely appalling. Can't wait to be out of my contract.

I have received several missed calls from this number over the last few days. I don't answer, no messages are left . I have had this experience in the past with another number.. it gets really REALLY annoying!

What the hell, Take a hint, or call at the right hour. its a bit stupid to annoy your existing customers.

I've just spoken to someone at the company and asked to be taken off their marketing list. They say it takes about 24/48hours. Fingers crossed. You have to dial the number and then press "1" and wait on the line to speak to someone.

I get about 3 calls a day too and I have twin toddlers so my level of frustration is particularly high at the moment. I intend on reminding them that it is an offence to continue to call once a request has been made to have a number removed.

Just got off the live chat with Telstra rep who said they dont have this number in their database. Also said Telstra dont do outbound calling for prepaid plans.

They just tried calling me (right as I was putting the baby down, thanks!)
Rang maybe 3 times before they hung up. Googled it to see who it was befor calling back and glad I did. They'd have copped it as I am most definitely not in the mood for telemarketers!

I just got a call from this number to my mobile. Surprise, it stopped ringing after only a few rings. Now I know who they are, I've flagged the number and I'm waiting for them to try and ring me back!

Everyday, we get at least 3 calls from this number. I'm glad I have calling number display so that I can see the number come up, and ignore it. Even though I'm on the DNC register, these calls persist.

This number (another 08 one!) calls our place several times a week too. I just answer and hang up without speaking or don't answer at all - but it's starting to get really annoying.

This number has been trying to call me for days. At first a guy asked if I was Bianca, I said yes and then he hung up. When you ring back it's just a recorded voice about a "telco" company! Now I keep getting calls each day, they let it ring once then hang up! It's irritating! Anyway to block the number??

This number is calling my house all the time as well. After seeing the above I will continue to ignore it. I have also found that this number sometimes calls and after 2 rings they hang up. I may call Telstra to have the number blocked as other have done.

The idiots have harassed me - a disabled senior cit- who has trouble getting to the phone for genuine calls. Why can't Telstra cancel the number after so many complaints. I wish them the death wish!!!

This number calls us all the time while we're at work and we are also on the DNC register. Given we don't know anyone with an 08 prefix, and the number of calls, have to assume it's an unauthorised and unwelcome telemarketing call.

I've received these HIGHLY annoying phone calls - sometimes 2-3 per day - which invariably hang up as soon as you rush to pick up the phone.
Thanks to this site (and my calling no. display) I identified them and called Telstra's 132200 number.
I was advised to ring TSA's freecall number 1800 634 055 and choose Option 2. I did so, and spoke to a consultant who promised to take me off their list within 24 hours.
As for the hanging up - perhaps the call centre staff are paid by the number of calls they make?
