I've had two calls from this number the last two days both at a time when I am usually sleeping. My Do Not Call recently expired so I don't know if it's due to that (others seem to think it doesn't matter). I will be renewing that shortly anyway and seeing if my phone can block this number.

They ring my home number but I have caller id and let them all go to the answer machine. It is a real person (not automated voice) that tries to attract attention with "Hello, hello, hello" then gives up! Apart from that they never leave a message. Given that they seem to be ringing so many people daily often with multiple calls to those numbers they must have a huge Call Centre
staff.

I received a call from this number today, they said they're from Telstra. They know my name, and wanted to verify the date of my birthday! After I refused to reveal my personal details on phone, they suggested that they gave me the month and year of my birthday firstly, and if it's correct, then I gave them the date to let them verify if I am the right person they wanted to speak with, and do you believe? They have it right, they have the information of my birthday!!! How horrible....

Got two calls from this number today. First time I answered they didn't say anything to me; in the end I hung up. Second time they only rang twice, then hung up. Googled and it's Telstra. Joke is I've been trying to fix something up with Telstra and it's impossible to get to speak to anyone useful. Ask for complaints and get billing! Email them and they send an automated response, then don't get back to you. 6 months of contract and I'm out of Telstra!!

I've been getting a few missed calls from this number. The first one was just for half a ring and it is never more than a few rings. It cooincides with my contract running out with Telstra.
Annoying.

I have received missed calls from this number for the past 2 days (at different times of the day). If I don't know the number, I don't answer. If it's important, they will leave a message on my voice mail.

I have had numerous calls from this number. It is so annoying to keep getting these prank calls. My young children mostly answer the phone when it rings, so imagine the feeling they get when the person says hello then hangs up...its beginning to get a little bit ridiculous!

I have calling number display, so if I don't recognise a number I let it go to message bank. If it's somebody I know, they'll either leave a message or ring back later

I just googled this number and it led me to this page, So bloody annoying, Stupid Telstra. This number has called my phone 6 times in 4 days. Wish they'd bugger off!!!! I'm going to try to report it!

Anyone having issues with this number should call Telstras Unwelcome Calls Centre on 1800 805 996. I just did so and the lady has informed that that the incessant calls from this number will be stopped within a months time.

I have been getting phone calls from this number a couple of times a day for the last week or so. They often only let the number ring for a second and then hang up. Very annoying and frustrating. Don't have time to deal with such crap! Am trying to get my number to opt out of marketing so will see how that goes. Some people have work to do and more important things to then to deal with this!! (Have been on hold to Telstra for 15 minutes now..grrr!)

This is the TSA Telco Group - they obtain your number freely from Telstra I've been told. You can 'opt out' which prevents this telco then contacting you but it doesn't prevent others doing similar all thanks to our friends at Telstra. To opt out of all tele-marketing you must register your numbers by calling 1300 792 958

I have contacted Telstra and they are powerless to stop these people. There are two numbers (08) 9424 4710 and 4700

The phone rang about 6 times and then hung up before we could take the call. Now that I read this list of complaints I see it is fortunate that we did not connect with them. Is the ombudsman unwilling or unable to act on this?

I have also been receiving calls from this number (08) 9424 4710) same sort of thing - the phone rings twice and then they hang up. I phoned Telstra and they have to "opt out list" re marketing calls. (I am also registered on the Do Not Call Register - but this does not appear to have stopped this number contacting me) Telstra gave me a number to call for Unwelcome Calls. This number is 1800 805 996 They have put a block on my phone line so this number will not be able to call me again. (This does give you a different dial tone which indicates that the block is in place on your phone). This was certainly a good outcome to the problem and I am happy that I will not be getting any more calls.

Been getting these and hadn't answered them as I didn't know the number and they didn't leave a message. Finally I thought answering it would stop them - I answered and they hung up straight away on me. Grrr... glad I've now checked in here to see where the call is coming from & why - found a link on one of the pages in here to http://www.tsagroup.com.au/contact.aspx where you can ask to be removed from the calling list. Lets hope it works :)
