It is annoying that they constantly ring but it is for sick kids and if you're not interested, go to your settings and block the number. It's not very hard to do! I donate every month and they only call me once.

I've sent the number straight to message bank,then it doesn't matter how many times they call because my phone doesn't ring and telstra send me a txt message saying I missed a call and they didn't leave a message.(my plan worked well) They are persistant sometimes calling 4 times a day. Then nothing for a week then they start again. They don't give up easily but neither do I.

I don't see the big deal I signed up for $50 a month they call me every second month a week or 2 b4 their draw asking if I'd like 2 buy any extra tickets I normally say no that's it they leave me alone til the next draw. These people are only doing their job & I have the mater 2 thank 4 my so he is a mater premmie & if it wasn't 4 them he wouldn't be here today. So next time u get angry at a charity 4 calling just think will u need them 1 day coz I really hope u don't.

When I went for appt at Mater I encountered one of their stands. The next day I had two people arrive unexpectedly from the Mater, dressed in some sort of uniform ? nurses. As I was unwell I told them I was not in the mood and thankfully they went away. I did actually sign up after my investigation. Then I went shopping yesterday and had to explain how I did actually donate already to them. Today this phone call. Do I feel harassed - yes indeed. One more phone call or visit and they get unsubscribed. Regretfully had to do this with Hollo Foundation due to not just harassment but the condescending attitude I encountered on EVERY single interaction with them. [Yes that is the correct way his name was spelt.] I probably knew way more about him than the patronising idiotic backpackers who ignored everything I said and remorselessly preached their spiel to me. I'm not signing any more subscriptions and will instead go back to donating food etc to Foodbank or charities that don't do this like Legacy and Salvation Army every month and for national disasters eg: Careflight. No govt donations either.

I already subscribe to Mater and have told these morons on 4 separate occasions not to call me anymore as I do not want to buy any extra tickets, already committed for the amount each month. One more call and I withdraw my subscription.

I buy online when I can afford itI don't need to be hounded by phonecalls as well. It's a shame they have to resort to high pressure sales pitches, it really turns me off. So far this fortnight I've had 6 different charities ring, Mater three times. THAT'S why everyone is fed up because our details are passed on to every Tom, d*ck and Harry Org. so we get a multitude of orgs. ringing.

I have been donating for over a year now, and within 6 months of donating, I won a $5,000 holiday thru the Mater Hospital Raffle. At first, I thought it was a joke. But, suprisingly it was genuine and went on a really great holiday. Certainly got my monies worth.

I do have to say though that if there is no return number left in a message and you are unaware of who was calling you it can be very frustrating especially if you are trying to call back.
I had been receiving up to 6 calls a day with no message for close to 2 weeks due to the fact that I work day shift and cannot answer my own phone during work hours ...
