Indian woman from "Microsoft" would just like to "fix" my computer
I played along for sometime and then asked her if her job pays much
She said "no, I just want to fix your computer"
I told her that I hope she get paid good money to lie to people every day.
She told me "I do not understand - just let me fix your computer"
I told her there was no computer at the number she called, and that I know she is a liar.
She said "you are a moron"
I said "and you are a thief"
    End of phone call :)

Called twice in the last week. They are using voice recognition to initiate their call. If you don't speak, only listen, the call will hang up. If you talk the computer records the number as a target for a later sales call or if there is an operator free you will be connnected to some scumbag trying to rip you off.

They rang twice. Missed call first time, no message left. Second time I answered and they hung up. Flickers.

Answered them tonight, after weeks of calling. Called me by a wrong name and claimed Salvation Army. I asked to be taken off the call list, he says, well I am from the SA, I said 'cannot be SA because you called me by the wrong name' he said 'well I am' and hung up.

Never ever say 'yes'. I answer every question with "wot" in the most moronic voice I can manage. Eventually they get fed up & I feel I have had my day's entertainment.
    How sad am I?

My last phone bill included a 9 second $1.05 phone call to this number. Supposedly it is in Southport Queensland. I don't make outgoing calls on my landline and this call was the only one listed. How did this call end up on my account ?????

Apple Marketing on behalf of many charities.
    Go to..... http://www.applemarketing.com.au/campaigns/
Auto dialler, that if picked up is routed to a free operator.
They are legit but very annoying.
Either ignore (multiple times for days sometimes) or answer and say no thank you!

Even if they are calling on behalf of a legit charity, as they are a contractor they will use your details for other telemarketing calls.

Safest bet is to donate directly to the charity.
