Called, let call go to answering machine (all calls screened), didn't leave a message.

Getting these calls far tooooo often!!
Considering cancelling our phone number

Their number is now disconnected. Yippee!!

No response when answered ........... I'd like to know how they get the numbers I too am on the absolutely useless "Donot call " register

Delayed response - dead give away. Anyway, persisted. A short yes or no charity survey. Possibly legit, probably not. Anyway, what's the point? Said no, thanks anyway, goodbye! Lets see if she rings again. I wont be so friendly. Actually, tagged the number so probably wont answer anyway.

We have been receiving a call from this number twice a day (around 1:30pm & 4:30pm) every weekday now for at least the last 3 weeks. There is about 10 seconds of silence followed by the hang up tone. So bloody annoying and I bet it could scare or worry an older person living on their own.

Several days in a row calls received from this number. Have not answered and call went to message machine but no message left. Hope they give up soon as I will not answer if I see this number on calling number display.

Scammers do not abide by the code of conduct for the "do not call register", would be nice if they did! :-) Being on the register does not mean that it isn't possible for your number to be dialed, it just means that your number is on a list that should not be dialed. If you report genuine businesses that call you when you are on the DNC register they may be fined.

Sounded like a call centre (a lot of other chatter in the background) asking me to answer a quick two question yes or no survey

Silence - Hung up after 10 seconds

Calls day after day even up to 8.45pm. Has rung twice today (in the a.m. & then a couple of hours later. It is not yet 4pm. A message is not left. Thank goodness I have number ID so I do not answer.

There is software that can generate phone numbers according to a Telstra person. These scam calls originate usually from overseas. I let all calls go through to the answering machine, if the call is genuine they will leave a message, if they are not, they hang up as soon as the answering machine starts its message.

I too am on the useless Do Not Call Register plus I have a silent number.

Silence so I ended the call!

Leaves a soundless message when it reaches my voicemail. Several days in a row now. If you callback the number (07) 3429 0099 is fake as the call cannot be completed.

Have received calls over several days. Call back (07) 3429 0099 and receive message that the "number you have called is not connected." What are the authorities doing about all the nuisance calls? Obviously, NOTHING!

I have caller ID, so let it ring out to my answering machine. When it played the message, they hung up. Unfortunately, I have to scan my calls constantly & I tell friends & family to keep talking until I pick up when I know who is calling. Very annoying to have to do that!

Persistently ring and hang up, a number of days now. So annoying.

This number is being used as an overseas scam. Saying they're doing a charity Survey. An Indian named Cheryl.
