Scam wanting yes answers to record, do not converse with them, you have been warned

this number has called repeatedly to our work phone number and when I answer they just hang up.

I think these calls are made via Skype, you pay for an Aus number than call via Skype from overseas so it appears a local call.

Lady asked me who I was, I asked her back who she was and immediately she hung up.

continually call - sick of it - I answered and then hit the hash key several times and then hung up. Not a response back at all. Have now listed it as a scam in my phone book as blocked calls are all filled up

Almost every day on 2 or 3 occasions we receive a call from this number. They refuse to talk and just wait on the other end of the line for about 3 seconds then hang up. Upon attempting to return the call, I get a message from Optus stating this number is NOT IN SERVICE. I am also on the do not call register.

This number rang 4 times over 6 days. My phone was out of order so went to voicemail. No message. Definitely dodgey.

Scammer - not a spammer; spoofed (fake) number!

My landline gets many calls from numbers with (07) prefix. I have no dealings with anyone in that area, so I let the answering machine take over. No message is ever left, and I will never answer these calls.

these guys call me everyday if i ever pick up the phone i always have a air horn near the phone for that reason O.o

They don't "get your number" it is numerical automated dialing.

I’m sick of this number calling my home phone! When I answered there was just delayed Slience! I’m registered with the DO NOT CaLL REGISTER, so it’s extremely annoying!!! STOP ringing my home phone you annoying pests!!!

I do this too. I never answer the phone, always leaving it on answering machine, and you know that if they don't leave a message...it's a nuisance call. we are about to have the landline disconnected permanently.

No message and callback number (07) 3429 0099 is bogus as callback could not be completed.

Scam callers, we automatically divert them to our "unwanted caller" answering machine and let them try to scam that. Scam the scammer!

Answered the phone to a heavily accented Asian voice. Like the previous comments I am on a Do Not Call register. I hung up and blocked the number. They get your number by claiming they are a charity. Apparently charities are exempt from the "do not call" register. If they ring again either scream very loudly into the phone or blow a very loud whistle. Never answer with a yes or no.

I'm sure this is the same number that calls me over the last month, usually during the day. Nothing on the line. All I say is, "Hello", wait ten seconds, no reply so I hang up. If I don't know the callers number I don't announce my name. Next time I will call Telstra.

Answered home phone , there was a few seconds no sound then the caller hung up. I tried returning call x 3 constantly engaged . I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER . There must surely be something the telco can do to eliminate these calls I have no dealings with Optus I believe it is an Optus number - very concerning

Unsolicited call. I never answer numbers I don't know. Rang the number on a different 'phone & was told the number was disconnected. SCAM
