Caller: “Legal Assist”

A caller with a thick Indian accent called claiming that he is calling from “Legal Assist”. He asserted he was calling in regards to an accident I was involved in the last two years. I told him I was not in an accident in the last two years. He then asked if any of my family members were involved in any accidents. As soon as I answered no, he hung up.

Mark was calling me through this number and was saying that he is from legal assist and asked for suffering for any car accident happened in last 2 years. I denied and asked who gave you this information, he replied insurance company. I asked the name of the company, he was keep talking rubbish and then told me I will call u back in one hour and hung up! And I have search out on google and found it’s a big scam!

Said she was calling from 'Legal Assist' regarding an accident that I had been in in the last 2 years.
I asked her how she got my number.
She said that she got my number off a third party complaint -(she had quite a lot of attitude towards me when I asked her how she got my information - "If no complaint has been raised, how would I have your phone number then?!")
I answered that personal information can be extracted from applications I've made, and then sold on to third party marketing companies who then call you and try to sell you products and therefore I wasn't interested in whatever she was selling.
For the duration of the call, she implied that I was actually the subject of a complaint and when I asked her for more information regarding the complaint she gave me my diseased father's home address (-currently vacant, waiting to be put on the market)
I knew then it was bullsh*t. I told her that no one is living at that address (correct statement) and then she hung up on me.

Overseas insurance scam callers using a spoofed mobile number. Diverted to scammer answering machine, I hope they enjoyed the chat with it.

This number called me saying they are from ‘legal assist’ looking to process some sort of injury claim from a motor vehicle accident. I have not been in such accident, this is such a dated scam, don’t fall for it 😒

Received several phone calls from these dodgy foreign Indians f*ckers. Scammers. Have now blocked their phone number.
I mentioned to these dumb-ass clowns that my number is registered on the government's "do not call list" but this does not stop these pricks from phoning back. They believe they are above the law.

Scam call saying I had an accident in the last 12 months. I just hung up as it’s the same scammer as ‭0488 863 266‬. I usually just block the number.

Mumbled the company name twice but said the call was re superannuation

Indian accent claiming to be from legal assist and asking if I’d been in an accident... immediately I told them they are scammers and next time to check the “do not call registry” and give up.
Time to hang up and block caller.

Keeps calling. Blocked number after reading these comments. Have had these people call me before claiming I had an accident.

Lady with Indian accent called me from "Legal Assist" and wanted to know if I have been in an accident in the past two years. I told her I don't own a car and she then asked if I have been in any other sort of accidents. I said no and she hung up. Checked online for the number and this is indeed a scam call!!

Scammer phoned while phone was on mute. Thank you to all the previous reporters for identifying this as the “Legal Assist” scam.

same as other comments, claiming to be from legal assist, ask if you have been in any accidents, and if anyone you know have been. He didn't hang up on me though, he ended the conversation politely, however, that's still 2 minutes of my life I can't get back
