A guy calling from "Legal Assist". Ask if any family members were involved in any accidents in the past 2 years, answered no and he hung up.

Knew my name said he was calling as I reported I had been in an accident. Hung up straight away

When they asked me if I had been in an accident I replied "Yes! I was fatally injured." What surprised me was that they continued to ask questions about the accident. After a while *I* gave up and hung up.

Sam from “ Legal Assist “ advising me I was in an accident two years ago and I’d been injured. I was fascinated about this and continued to go along with his story until I asked him if this was a scam. And he started to get really angry... then he hung up... 🤣🤣🤣

Clearly an opportunistic scam perpetrated by a village idiot working from an improbable script and delivering a performance in need of lots more practice.
The foreign gent (am I allowed refer to someone as being a foreign gent in this PC age?) said he wanted to speak to me about a vehicle accident I had within the last 2 years which may not have been my fault.
I said I had no accidents in at least 15 years - my fault or otherwise.
He then suggested it might be an accident that a member of my family may have had.
Apparently my being on a no call register is as irrelevant as that person was thick.

A caller with an extremely thick Indian accent ,thicker than any Indian accent i had ever heard, he was extremely arrogant and refuse to tell me which company he worked for.Even though the accent was ever so thick i entertained his conversation, he wanted me to sign up for some insurance, i said i would. He wanted me to give him details of direct debit information, i said i would.Eventually after about 5 minutes on the phone with me sounding interested he asked me for my details.I asked him if he could repeat the whole conversation as i could not understand a word he said.He began the conversation again-I hung up-blocked the number.

I love trying to string these guys on as long as possible. They don't really understand my sarcastic tones either. I wish there were smart enough to google their own number and read all the comments

They asked me if i had been in an accident in the last 2 years. I said yes and the girl sounded very confused that i actually agreed with them, i was then passed onto the supervisor so I continued to waste their time pretending to go along with their crap before telling them i had not been in an accident and if they call back again i will continue to waste their time. He then sounded very disappointed and hung up

Called several times last week but I don’t answer unknown numbers anymore. Knew it was a scam

I hung up and blocked their number!

This is not the first time these scammers have called me. Every time they try this rubbish I block their number they call back a few months later with a different one. Always some Indian person with a thick accent asking me if I've had any motor vehicle or workplace accidents within the past two years. When I point out that I am on the do not call register and they are scammers they usually get a bit upset or insistent at which point I tell them in no uncertain terms where they can go and then I hang up and block yet another number.

I had the same spiel from a woman with an Indian sounding accent. Sounded like a scam so I hung up.

Same as most on the thread, thick sub-continent accent, had to get him to repeat his blurb, as soon as he mentioned car accident, I said, no, this is a scam call.
He said Thank you and hung up!

Called the office mobile. As soon as I identified it was a business they hung up with out speaking. Not the first time they have called and hung up. Now blocked number.
