Claiming to be legal assist saying I have had a accident or one of my family has had an accident..

I answered call, told the person I think, this is a scam, they hung up!

Called from 'Legal Assist' wanting to verify my details from an accident. I told them there was no accident at all and hung up.

Received the same call. I'm of Indian origin myself, these motherf*ckers bring shame to my culture. Brown c*nts.
Also mentioned Legal Assist. Wouldn't give me any identifying details. Said it was in relation to a personal injury in the last 2 years. Just fishing for info

Missed the call but when I went to call back it didn’t work - call failed. Presuming it’s a scammer although my number is on the donotcall list Australia so I don’t know how they got it?

Called me today and told me she was from Legal Assist. It sounded like she was asking me if I've been in an accident recently, but I could have heard her incorrectly, I assumed she was an ambulance chasing lawyer and I just hung up on her. Based on the similarities to all the other comments here I'm pretty sure it was the same scam and they've either changed the script or I just wasn't listening properly. Either way, the number is now blocked.

Same story as others, Legal Assist calling about an accident I was in. I told them I could not confirm anything as I had no idea who they were or any business with them and hung up.

Thanks to the posts here I have now blocked this number. They called my mobile and I did not answer.

I got a call too saying the same thing I think its a SCAM

She started politely by informing my involvement in an accident which I might not be responsible for. I confront her about how she did receive the information and she mentioned that they got detail from survey company. When I tried to explain that survey company is not right way to get the accident records, she got offended and mentioned that I should get my facts right and hang up on me.
Another Indian girl spoiling the name of hardworking Indians.

Indian accent, ask car accident, which I don't have, hung up by saying no

Rang my work number, late in evening, for only a second, they left a long voicemail but no message. Judging by the above comments, I am happy to block this number.

I got a call this afternoon from Legal Assist saying they are advised I was in an accident recently. They would not disclose who it was. As soon as they found out it wasn’t a motor vehicle accident they hung up the phone immediately. Beware, sounds very suspicious.

FEMALE with Indian sounding accent in a call Centre environment. Claiming to be from Legal Assist. As I used to work in insurance I lied and said yes I had a crash, lots of crashes, lol. I queried how they got my details - were they part of recovery or to make a claim for damages. They couldn’t answer this!
