Received two calls from this number within a 3 hour time span. Due to job hunt, I am currently answering all calls, especially those with numbers I don't recognise. I answered the first call to hear only breathing noises, then a hang up. I missed the second call.
There is no reason for anyone to have been able to gain my number. I understand that organisations like this have random phone number generators, and that is how they make calls.

I received a call from this number at 8.30 pm

Received a missed call from this number today, upon calling back an automated female voicemail message stated that they're an Australian contact centre, calling on behalf of a number of financial institutions and that the matter usually isn't urgent.

Sounds dodge, feels dodge. Blocked.

Got a call from this number at 16.52 today didn't answer but glad I now know its a scam.

Missed call from this number yesterday 13/1/2015.

I'm so glad that I ignore all calls on my mobile that my phone doesn't recognise, and if they don't leave a message I don't ring them back....if people want me for something they will leave a message, text me, or call the landline.

This number called twice back to back, rang back and didn't answer.suss....

I have had a few missed calls from this number also. Just ignoring it.

From this mobile number, Australian Contact Centre called me on behalf of Insurance Line. They hung up when I asked why I was getting the call. I didn't have a chance to ask how they got my number.
So I called Insurance Line. They were actually quite responsive. They took down the details, asked questions and said they would ask all the marketing companies they deal with to delete my number.
Maybe they will just give my number to others - I don't know. I hope not. Time will tell.

I just got a missed call at 7.41am from 0438 057 233. I called back the number and got the following recorded message: "We are an Australian Contact/Context (not sure if its contact or context) Centre that deals with many financial institutions. As this call is not of an urgent nature we will call back". Could not leave a message as the recorded message went on to say that "Voice mail was full." I suspect scammers at work.

Had 3 missed calls from this number before checking on here today then realised I spoke to a woman claiming to be from insurance line ? From the same digits.In which I replied that I wasn't interested .. Glad I looked the number up on here , sounds like a scam.

Rang today - hung up when I answered. Wonder how they got my number? - I don't give out my mobile (had the same one for years) to anybody I don;t know, and only use landline on paperwork. Very asnnoying. Have blocked them.

My number is a new mobile number and I haven't handed it out to any agencies. It seems really odd that I received a call from this number

I just received a call from this number 0438 057 233 as well. Was told 'I'm calling from Australian Context Centre, and before I go any furher, I need to let you know this call is being recorded.' Then he jumped straight in saying I'm calling from InsuranceLine, have you heard of them?... I asked if this was advertising and he started getting rude with me!!! So now they are just calling us and testing us like sh*t .. How there he'll sis they get my number?!

I made a complaint about this number to the ACCC as follows:

I have received several calls from a private number which I answered and they hung up straight away. Today I received a call from the mobile number above, I spoke to the person briefly on the other end and then they hung up. I believe it is possible that the anonymous calls and the call from the mobile number are related given the close time frame and the hanging up.

The woman who called on the mobile number said she was from the Australian Contact Centre representing several insurance agencies. There was noise in the background. Interestingly she spoke before I could even say hello and her tone was urgent. I asked how she got my number and she hung up.
