Total scam Email me only can't respond to SMS shut these C down

Text from two different people with this number supposedly wanting to buy my car on Gumtree. They both had gmail accounts that you had to replied to.

Good bloke to feed to sharks or use as bait while fishing off the rig once you get there, Scammers wish we could get cops to do to them what they are doing to bikies

SCAMMER. Also contacted me about a car for sale on www.carsguide.com.au Contact made by internet messaging, said he worked offshore, wanted car as graduation gift for son in Darwin. Wanted Paypal details-bank account details-wanted best price-said he'd pay for freight. He used petdav111 @ gmail.com as contact email.

I had a add in gumtree that stated local pickup ,this guy replyed to my add claiming he was in melbourne could not pick up but could do it by courier i refused as told him it was for local buyers,he even said he would give me more money then what was on my add ,strange,keep getting calls from him so i just ignored his calls after that,thought he was trying to scam me just by how he was talking over the phone with me,said his name was paul

Had exactly the same.. Ofc we didnt pay any money.. Is there nothing you can do against these scammers? No way to track them down somehow?

Had 3 texts from this number from 3 different email addresses. Gmail outlook and live accounts. Something about being on an oil rig. The car had been on gumtree for two months and I renewed the ad today and had these three enquiries in an hour.

Got SMS about caravan for sale on gumtree. wanted more photos and best price. Used name Scott Salter (and then Scott Salt at bottom of message). googled number and lead me here... Why can't these scam be shut down?

Got to responses from Gumtree ad, both wanting details re payment and asking for Paypal details. Too busy to call and wanted email contacts to solexnooy @ yahoo.com.au and also genifrancisco001 @ hotmail.com. All looked very dodgy so checked number on here and bingo!!!

Got a text this morning wanting to by my horse, whats my lowest price and whats the condition.

Googled number and BINGO look what I have found here.

Also sent me a txt in responce to my boat advert on gumtree using the name "Ryan Brooks" another Gmail addy.... reported him to AFP and Sth Aust police fraud squads, suggest everyone do the same to catch these low life scum

Scammer uses name Solex Nooy. Have reported email and phone number to PAYPAL

Got text about bike for sale on gumtree. wanted bank details also was going to pay by paypal. Said he was off shore in NZ working. Find out where he lives and knock his block off. Somewhere in Darwin. Also listed on scamex. Used name Helvis Datford and the same name at gmail. WATCH OUT

Text and Emailed wanting to buy my car from
Gumtree without viewing.Requested I send through PayPal details and my address.Something didnt seem right so googled the mobile number involved... Bingo- led me to hear!!!

Response to my ad, and even include a photo in the email. It says
"Hi,
Many thanks for your response let me introduce myself. I am Jolene 25 year young nonsmoker lady coming to Australia from Singapore. I work as chef on cruise ship at the moment and I have limited time to surf the internet but I will find time to call you. I will like you to kindly calculate the total cost covering my first three months’ rent together with deposit. I will also like you to get back to me with your full home address for me to forward it to my mover to calculate the total cost of moving my stuffs to Australia. I had attached two pictures of myself for you to know me and I will be so happy if you can do the same. I will be waiting to read back from you."
