Low Life scammer tried to buy my car off gum tree.

Scammer tried to buy our car, sent SMS.
Sent the message using names 'Greg Fox', 'Hayden Jurs' and 'Stephen Fresser'.

'Thanks for mailing back,am ok with the price and the condition,i work with New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kupe project.We do not have access to phone at the moment that's why I contacted you with internet messaging facility.Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal because i don't have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here but i have my ANZ bank account link up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through PayPal to your nominated bank account or better still is if you have a PayPal account,please get back to me with your BSB and account details or PayPal account so i can proceed with the payment.I have also contacted my courier who will come for pick up and deliver it to my place in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your acct.

Still at it, just received a SMS for a bike I have on gumtree Lotusjames12 at outlook.com. Also got one earlier this year when I was selling a car on gumtree same number/oil rig worker etc. gibbinsimon569 at gmail.com

Got 3 scam text messages in one week. One from "Annie" and one from "Stephen" , both from the same number. The 3rd one was from another number. All trying to buy my car on Gumtree. Low life scammer/s!

At it again, trying to buy my car and using the same details as other people have mentioned. This time using the name Greg Fox.

On my Ad, both the condition and price are very clear, Full colour photos and nice clear black text. I knew it was a scam, the second the ams message showed up on my phone.

Selling my car on gumtree. I was made aware by a work mate about this guy saying he works on oil rigs and blah blah blah and tries to scam everyone. Using the name Mark Lee and email mark*****31 @ gmail.com.

Watch out for the names Allison Kendrick and Annnie Snell - trying to buy our bike of ebay. Bit suss that both in NZ one working one on holidays :(

same story, using 2 names Scott Salter and Michael Heay, 2 email addresses BUT 1 Phone number.
Sounds like he needs to be dealt with.
I wonder why the authotities can't do something about this bloke instead of buying speed cameras to raise revenue.
