This time waster tried to scam me yesterday (17 jan 14) asked if my bed was still for sale and wanted to buy it. "She was in China" and the receiver was in "New Zealand" idiot

Thank god for this website … Jan 15, selling on Gumtree - SMS from this number to email Timvid68 @ gmail.com like most of the others.
Very similar story about the "at sea", "son in Darwin" etc.
I provided my PayPal email, then came across this. I spent some time then fixing up my PayPal account and maximising security. Shortly after I received emails from Onlinefundssecure @ mail2australia.com, with the name "service @ paypal.com.au". Spelling and grammar was shocking! Forwarded to the phishing department of PayPal, then filed a report to scamwatch.
Would love if they caught this lowlife!

Scam. Goes under the name of Richard Gardiner. Tried to buy my car off Gumtree but said can only use paypal. I've reported to Gumtree, but why is this guy still got this number if it so obviously a scam. What phone company is 0428. If I knew I would report to them also. Maybe we should contact the police at this stage.

This low life mongrel sent me a text from 0428 465 117 in response to my add selling my tinnie on Gumtree. Wanted more details (already in add) emailed to billdon0 @ hotmail.com. Didn't look right, feel right, smelt something about to happen, and when I look up the number on this website, I near choked on my beer. Looks like I owe my nephew big time for eluding me to this helpfull website. P^&%$S like this need pegging out on a meatants nest and left to die. SCAMMER.

On the 6th January 2014.This number text me about a car I have for sale on Gumtree. As to send him email to andeyroy1000 @ gmail.com. Them emailed me back wanting bsb number of bank to pay by paypal into my account. The car was to be purchased for his son in Darwin. Said he was a sailor. Later on an email came saying he want to pay by a Western Union account. Got very wise very quickly. He used the name Andey & work as an engineer on a aircraft carrier. Also he gave a Chineese Address to post Rego papers to.

This idiot is definitely a scammer. I received SMS messages from Melissa Carly, James, Bauer Alfred, John, Tim Viduka, all wanting info about 2 separate adds i placed on Gumtree for a car and a caravan, they provided email addresses to reply to with either Paypal info or BSB and Account numbers. The email addresses provided were melissacarly200 @ hotmail.com barbara.rebecca18 @ gmail.com timvid68 @ gmail.com jd78580 @ gmail.com

Idiot is a scammer wanting to get details from me for purchase of an item on Gumtree then he will have it shipped to other end of country.
Names used were Stephen Fresser first then when I told him ti P!$$ 0ff he then used same number but was Paul Jason.
Advise to ignore this number 0428 465 117

Still scamming, got a message from this turkey today wanting to buy my $40 ADSL modem on Gumtree. Lol, Must be really desperate now. Hahahahahahaha
