The call which I just allowed to come through from this number (to a private line few know about) was a Filipino voice trying to run a scam about a car accident.

This is Telstra, kindly ringing me at 11:30pm on a Saturday night. Was told a local service agent would be stopping by my business to repair a faulty phone connection at 8am on this very same Saturday. Of course nobody turned up, and now they ring when I am in bed sick well and truly after hours. They now won't be through until Monday. Had to bring staff in early on a Saturday as I was told someone had to be there early, on top of which we are losing new customers who haven't been able to get through to us for 4 days. Good work Telstra, you have absolutely no business taking on any new government contracts/endeavours.

Disgruntled Telstra customer - looking elsewhere

It is Telstra. Bit of a cheek calling me when 1 we've advised Telstra that any contact is to be via email first SMS second, 2 we've currently got two complaints happening both to do with the NBN and to to top it all off, I get an SMS telling me that my NBN is now complete after I hung up on the number in question. The message says if there are any service problems to call a 1800 number or visit crowdsupport.telstra.com.au. What a joke. Anyone considering switching to NBN, go to another provider. Avoid Telstra and it's overseas call centres like the plague. There was an earlier comment about someone using the National relay service. I can tell you these overseas call centres have no idea how to deal with hearing impaired clients.

Got a call from a male caller from (02) 9506 0700 to say from Telstra and wanted me to confirm my home address for emergencies. Told him that the Telstra system would know if my address had changed as I would have disconnected my phone. Don't give personal info out to anyone cold calling.

I was on a bus trip (very noisy inside) me being very hard of hearing when the call came from this number (02) 9506 0700 so simply refused to answer in such a noisy environment.

I just got a similar call from Telstra re the NBN hookup. They asked for my full name and date of birth. I thought how strange to call because my NBN has been connected for a month. I wondered if I had been scammed and they obtained my DOB, but feel better now after reading this site. I promised myself that I won't give it out again so easily!!

This is not a Telstra number it IS a SCAMMER trying to get personal details.
After reading other comments here I just rang Telstra complaints 1800 029 141) where you always get an aussie based center to find out about the number.
They are aware about the number & are trying to stop it as they have received many complaints about it.

Had a call from this number re my NBN connection, had already connected with a case manager assigned in Australia due to constant delays and stuff ups. I asked why the call as I already had a case manager to be told he was my connection manager....already wasting so much time with the people already assigned to my case so why do I need to speak to another person with limited English ... sorry, no patience left so I hung up. Don't care if this is a legit number or not, just need Telstra to stop wasting my time

This is definitely TELSTRA! Sick and tired of second rate service received from these folks outside oz. I would have thought a good command of English would've been at least the minimum requirement! Bring back employing Australian call people within Australia!

That would be good if the NBN was anywhere near my house in Maroubra, maybe I should move back to Armidale. They have had it for years now. The whole process and roll out is a debarckle and no joke. As a nation we are going backwards like the kids in our schools and Universities.

It is Telstra. The messages they were leaving me was "We're just calling about your recent bundle request - call us on 1800 008 851 and quote reference blah blah blah". So I googled the real Telstra number and they confirmed it was one of their outbound calls but she updated so this should stop and she made some report about it. I really thought it was a scam to begin with though as I haven't made any request for a bundle...
