I missed the call from this number but after reading these posts I thought I'd do the courteous thing and call them back ,
After a short 30 second call they refused to buy the insurance I was trying to sell and hung up on me !!

Indian telemarketers who have access to Cad -Telephone registers, mainly Telstra and optus customer service listed accounts, sold to them in Mumbai India for big bucks, now these a**holes have our data, address, and contact numbers, and accounts for both internet and mobile phone plans, (how they got it i don't know but trust the indians to sell our data for a quick buck) so, they call sometimes for insurance, and the new scam is calling purporting to be from your Telephone company, suggesting that your phone needs to be configured for the new 4g network and they will send you a package to your mobile phone, and instruct you to open it. ...."WARNING UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES OPEN OR NEGOTIATE SUCH A PACKAGE TO BE SENT TO YOU VIA SMS, DO NOT OPEN THIS PACKAGE, IT CONTAINS PHONE CLONING AND VIRUS MALICIOUS SOFTWARE"..

If you use your phone to do banking....you will be f*cked !!!

Yes Telstra and optus are cancelling their 3g Networks and running with only 4g in Nov 2016, however this notice will be sent to you by an official Telstra and Optus sms, instructing you to use the link in the sms which directs you to their official websites and what to do. you will also receive emails from Telstra and Optus

Please Note, Telstra and Optus do not call you, and will not call you about configuring your phone, as they do not have any idea what phone your using.

just be aware of these scumbag indian pricks !!...block the number (02) 8608 2424 ...they will try from other re-direct numbers soon after you do block them, so be alert !, Don't provoke them, as remember they do have all your Account data and can easily disconnect your mobile plan or report your phone stolen just to be a**holes and get you back, best thing to do is hang up, and immediately block them, and call Your Telstra or Optus customer service as to why your account data is now in the hands of Indian telemarketers.

Telemarketers - because my doctor suggested I take up a sport.

Suggested introduction dialogue...
"Thank you for your voice submission to the NSA Counter Terrorism line. We will analyse your submission and our agents will visit you shortly." (insist that they just submitted a voice sample from a genuine terrorist)

"Thanks for calling the Bestial Dating Service where all our pets are declawed and disease free. Are you seeking a divine canine, feline or bovine incline?" (take it from there)

"Hilloo. Raji's Takeaway. Please place your order. (wait) Small, medium or large? (wait) Will you be wanting fries with that?" (insist they place an order before continuing)

"That comes to $56.20. Will you paying by Mastercard, Visa or American Express?" (just keep repeating it)

Insurance had an arrogant intro - recommend hang up straight away before they dribble all the intro verification nonsense at you while at work.

I have completed by evaluation of " compare car insurances " and I have selected the insurance that best suits my needs and contract was completed today. So I respectfully ask you kindly- " Please no more calls ladies & gents" Many thanks

When you Google them its an American company that I couldn't find any link to insurance or electricity. Leave people ALONE!!!! Go get a real job d*ckheads!!

Indian man called asking if I had personal insurance, lots of noise in background. He had my first name. When I asked him who he was wanting to speak to, he hung up. My mobile is with Optus for past 6 years.

scammers! when she called she knew my first and last name, then said she had just 4 questions to answer. i stupidly said yes to the first question , something to do with age. then i stopped and said im not answering any more because i've read in the news that ppl are calling and getting them just to say "yes" and then the trouble starts rolling- false accounts are opened etc. But she continued to asked me the questions!!! i said no. bye.
beware. should i report it to the police?
