Grrrrrr.... I have a new Telstra prepaid. I have received more Telemarketer calls that genuine calls. Before phoning this number back I thought I would google it.... so glad I did. Rotten time wasting, devious sods. I thought I had hung up on a potential employer the other day because I had received 3 telemarketer calls in a row and then on the 4th one, as soon as I heard the foreign voice I just said politely, "no thanks, not interested, Thank you" and hung up. My gut then said, did you just hang up on the person ringing you back from the job (ironically in customer service - FAIL!). Fortunately it wasnt the employer but I did have to sweat on in for the next 24 hours until they rang.

Yes it is telemarketing. To your comment, Telstra and Optus are not cancelling their 3G network in November, they are decommissioning the 2G network.

I got a call this morning, being a work phone it gets passed around nevertheless I've had it for 12 years and he asked for the original user. He said the list came form Australian Data Services. I suggest you contact them.

Very persistent Indian call centre trying to sell you insurance. I get calls from them on almost a daily basis even after mistakenly picking up the call one day and then telling them no.

Started to get calls after going through iSelect for private insurance quotes online. Never reveal your real number when searching through iSelect!

So over all these calls why can't they just accept the fact that you don't want any insurance

Said that they were from Clearview insurance selling life insurance. They had my post code. Ignored the fact that I already had life insurance. Gave them fake details. Blocked the number.
