These people keep ringing my mobile. I have no accounts with citibank. They call very late at night. I would imagine that judging by the number of complaints citibank would be doing something to stop these telemarketers using the citbank name.

They first phoned me on my mobile when I was in a conference and I didn't answer. They did not leave a message. The next day they phoned my landline, I was focussed on a piece of writing, however I saw the number was an (02) number and thought it might be family and answered. As soon as I heard 'I want to speak to {my grossly mispronounced name], I new it was a scammer posing as a telemarketer. I asked him not to call back. As I was asking he hung up...Nice.
Does anybody know of a way to block or stop these type of callers? Is it true that even silent numbers have problems; the scammers obtain our phone numbers via the net, and their calls costs are zero, because they make their calls though a computer?

It's Citibank - they call me a couple of times each day on my mobile when I am at work, and cannot answer my phone. They never leave a message. When I call the enquiries department for Citibank to complain, they claim that they have no idea what I am talking about. Like many other people that have posted here, I have no accounts with Citibank. If they continue to call every couple of hours, I think my next stop will also be the Ombudsman.

Never leave a message - apparently it's Citibank, however if you call back the number, you're advised the number is no longer connected and to dial a different number.
I think many of the 02 80xxxxxx numbers are Call Centres in India...

Citibank lying about who they are and being sneaky invading privacy . They refuse to provide their names and they refuse to provide a direct number so you can call back at an appropriate time. Sneaky, bullies, heartless And greedy for $$ .

It's Citibank - they call me up to 8 times a day on my mobilem between the hours of about 11am and 7 pm - which is when I am at work, and cannot answer my phone. They never leave a message. However, in the past few days I have had 17 missed calls from this number. When I called Citibank general inquiries to complai, they claim that they have no idea what I am talking about. Either LEAVE A MESSAGE or STOP IT. I have NO ACCOUNTS with the bank. If I get another day of missed calls every couple of hours, my next stop is the OMBUDSMAN. This is ridiculous.

I've never heard a woman with a thick Indian accent call herself Kathy Brown before... surely there is a first for everything but something leads me to believe that Kathy Brown from Citibank isn't actually Kathy Brown at all. She is calling from Citibank though, or on behalf of anyway.
