Australian male accent, same message. Did not repy.

15/06/2016 - I have read most of the comments on this page as I have relieved a call myself, and like most people I was not aware it was a scam and called back, greeted by an unbelievably obnoxious and aggressive person. Asking for my details, I refused, then he proceeded to ask me if I was educated and that I should know how to answer a simple question if I was, he proceeded to tell me I was under investigation and that he required my barristers number or the number of a really good lawyer as I was to be arrested, again when I refused to give information he simply said well enjoy your life in jail and hung up. I have proceeded to inform the police reporting a person illegally impersonating a agent of the state but I feel nothing will be done. Watch out if you receive a call from this number (02) 6188 6079

I have had 2 calls and the same recorded message left to my Mobile today, they called my landline last year and tried the same scam.. it is very frustrating the Government has not blocked them or shut them down by now... surely it is not hard to run interference with their phone number?

Just got a call from this number. Australian accent and same spiel about under investigation, yarda yarda......
Reported to ATO and blocked the idiots.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I called back, the very rude and aggressive person " sounded like the indian call center ". demanded money to be paid to fix the tax matter where i clearly knew i had none. Don't fall for it !!!

Just got the same from (02) 6188 6079 they must be ramping up for EOFY!!!

Two calls from this number 11am 3rd June 2016. Left voicemall with the usual message.

Four calls in one hour, voicemail left, exact same wording as already reported.

Yep just got the message ATO tax scam... Hmmmmm funny I'm being investigated in relation to my taxes! What a joke I work the tax man d*ckheads... Didn't call number back, maybe I should and take them in a ride!!!

My husband got 4 calls from this number. When he didnt answer they leave a message with a male voice says this is the Taxation Office and it is a final message to call urgently. Told husband not to call back and block the number which he did. They are very persistent.

Same recording words as last year.
Pass the word on by mouth about this scam to your taxation consultants and people you know.
This scam has been going on for to long.

They rang my mum yesterday she rang them back and said she doesn't know them money gave me the phone number I rang it doesn't even say it is the Australian taxation department is just an Indian lady saying leave your name and number and will get back to you scammers

Just had one of those calls and reported it to the real ATO who will lodge investigation

Tax Office scam

A family member received a call today from this number saying the ATO will take them to court if thy don't pay up within 8 hours. It rattled them a bit.
I can't believe this "Roy Wilson" hasn't been caught yet.

got a call from (02) 6188 6079, sounds like a synthesised voice recording (sounds like an Australian accent. Looked up reverse no lookup after the call to find 73 complaints recorded this year! Did not even bother to ring this number back!!!

Same Deal I've just ignored it. they don't give up though. Don't fall for it
