100% a fake call - early collector from ato

Not a Scam, you can call the ATO from a number on their Website and confirm if there was a call back, when they leave the 1300 466 859 number its the ATO and its real.

You're a tax agent? You're dumber than dog sh*t. The number is legit. You don't lock in a voice print as a tax agent, thats the process.

Anyone who calls (without exception) that has a 1300 number is a scammer. I have ALL incoming 13 calls blocked.

It is a legit number. Even though it was the most unprofessional phone call I have had (thought she put me on hold but didnt and I could hear them talking crap about me), I called the number to check if it is a scam and they informed me it isnt.

Just got a call today from this number talking about some ATO debt. I hung up and called them back on main number. It appears it was for real. Although I got out of the debt, then call was for real.

I just received a call from a silent number last night which went through to my voicemail. The message was to call the ATO on 1300 466 859. I googled my little black heart out, and honestly came to the conclusion that it was a scam but decided to check with the ATO in the morning. Good thing I did because it legitimately WAS the ATO. Why they don't list it on their website is anyone's guess, but if in doubt, ring them on one of their publicly listed numbers to confirm.

I rang the ATO on a different number and they give me that number 1300 466 859 to call back on . It is genuine.

it is the AT, make sure you answer and provide them with any details they ask you.
you can verify their identity by looking at any letter from the ato in regards to debt or tax owing.
you must be honest and punctual when come to dealing with the ato, because money collected is used to support our government services to us

It is a legitmait number, debt early intervention and is listed on the ATO website if you look properly- they ask for you to confirm your date of birth for individual / or address for an entity and the purpose for that is to confirm that the number on record DOES belong to the person they are trying to get in touch with.

I though it sounded scammy, but it's a number listed on their site.
