Great feedback everyone. This number also called my phone and did not leave a message. Number looked sus.

Dec 1, I got a call on my mobile from this phone (08) 6228 4049. Its a Perth number.

The caller had No accent.

The person claimed to be from Telstra. He asked to confirm my name – which he knew. then he told me my account has been upgraded from 500g to 1000b free of charge.

he also asked me to rate the call on 1 – 5. 5 being satisfied.

Thinking about it now, it seems odd that Telstra would bother to let me know about this.

Was this part of an elaborate scam?

I didn't reveal other info.

Man with an Aussie accent telling me my Broadband data was being increased at no extra charge by Telstra. Only asked to confirm my name for confirmation that it was me he was talking to. Not sure why an email wouldn't have suffice.

Received a call, Didn't answer. Googled it. Saw the reviews. Added number to auto reject list. Suggest you do the same!

I also received an email a few days ago from Telstra informing me that I now have unlimited data. The email gave legitimate details about my plan. Perhaps the phone calls are just to confirm the email.

Just called said they were from Telstra Services Australia a company outsourced by Telstra. Sounded very suspicious so hung up on her.

Missed call, did not leave a message, checked the number and found all of the above

Just received a call on this number from a woman who called me by name and said she was ringing from Telstra to tell me about the increase to my data allowance for free. As I tried to tell her that I had already been informed by email, she continued talking over the top of me (twice), then suddenly hung up on me... very rude!

This number rang me and hung up immediately when I picked up. I have since blocked this number, I do this whenever I get this type of call.

No answer and hung up after 3 seconds

Same as above. They assured me they were calling from Telstra and I would recieve an email confirming my increase of 200gb of date and it was completely free

Hung up as soon as I said "Hello".

Did not leave a message. No voice message. Called at 11.10AM. I did not ring back.

Automated message from Telstra saying they are checking in and to call if you have anything to discuss.
