He was well spoken guy claiming to be from telstra and our database allowance was going up from 50 to 200 he said to check our email address from and he knew my full name

Very pleasant sounding woman. No accent telling me my that my data was going to increase to 200GB as from January.
Was very convincing the way she spoke & assured me that she was from Telstra & that I would get an email to confirm it.
She did not ask for any personal information.
Sounds very sus to me.

I have had 3 or 4 calls from this number as soon as I pick up on my mobile... they hang up... its ticking me off. Can I block them?

Let it go to vmail, get calls from this number every couple days, no message ever left... comes up as Perth, Western Australia on my phone.. from other comments seems like its the typical rubbish marketing calls pretending to be Telstra, asking if this is "Mrs XXX"... well if you are Telstra, you would know who I am... stop ringing idiots!!!

This female person has rang both my mobile and home phone claiming to be conducting seniors market research. I dont use my home phone so have no idea how they got it. Also I'm not a senior. 4 phone calls so far.

This number called my home phone, I saw the caller ID. I answered the call. There was nothing on the other end. After 10 seconds the caller hung up. Sounds like a scam to me.

l had a phone from somebody from telstra to give more data l rang bank it said it from telstra with the (08) 6228 4049

I have received calls from (08) 6228 4049 and have not responded to them so I don't know who is calling.. But Telstra have sent me an email saying that they have increased my data by 150 GB. I am elated. I can watch more of Netflix lol.. I went into my Telstra online account and it is all correct..

Hi, I checked the guy that rang on this number who gave me his telstra ID, he checked out as i was certain it smelt rotten.

Missed call. No voicemail left.

Just hung up as soon as I said hello. Have blocked the number.

Just took a call from this number - Telstra advising of increase in data. She didn't ask for any additional information from me. I was already aware of this change as it was noted on my last bill

I missed this call and they have not left a message. But I notice a lot of the above are saying it was for increased data. It could be legit I guess as I received an email from telstra last week that i now have unlimited downloads. Didn't ask me for any information or to do anything, just that they were handing it out. With any calls from unknown numbers though, it is better to err on the side of caution
