They call, call and call and don't leave a message. I have no insurance with Suncorp or its subsidiaries. Don't have an insurance claim and haven't had one in many years.

Caller: GIO Legitimate call. My husband smashed both of our cars in our own driveway (dont ask!) last week and this is GIO calling me about the claim.
But as scammers are able to clone real phone numbers, it always pays to be careful, so I let it go to voicemail and the call was legit

Caller: AAMI Had a call a few days ago said they were AAMI. I hung up. Called again today saying they were from AAMI. New my first name and informed me the call would be recorded....yeah probably so they can use my voice for their scam. Asked me to verify some details and when I said "NO, you called me and I don't even know why", was told it was for an insurance claim matter. Still said "NO". Was told they would email me a letter.....still wouldn't say what it was. You can call the number back and it rattles off all these different insurance companies...they are getting more and more elaborate.

Legit call from AAMI. I checked on my online AAMI account that supported what they were calling about.

If you want to check the company, don’t call back on caller’s number!! Go to official website and use that number. If it’s legit they’d have the details. Legit company won’t ask bank details over the phone.

Caller: Aami Caller wanted to discuss ‘a matter’ I dealt with them 6 mths ago. Won’t tell me what the ‘matter’ is but wanted to verify me. I asked them to email. Got email asking whether I wanted refund of car repairs in cheque or bank transfer as it was less than excess I paid. Have never heard of refunds if less than excess. Will call Aami direct to check but not using the caller’s number. Not legit to ask for bank details over phone anyway. Caller sounded so unprofessional but Aussie accent.
