0488 827 896 has been calling my number now everyday for 4 days and just kept hanging up. This time they spoke and advised they were calling about an accident I was in. I told them I have never been in an accident and they hung up.

I've just recieved a call from this number and answered it. The person on the other end didn't say anything and then hung up. This is the second time. Now I'm here posting haha.

Same as above: They called saying I was in a car accident, when I asked for the date fo the accident they couldn't provided any information.. SO knew instantly it was a scam.. form here I decided I would live in another state, have 5 vehicles and needed to ensure I was looking at the right one and then was told ... "probably the most recent, let's start there"... After about 45 minutes of me vaguely answering their questions, making up elaborate road crashes and also updating my address to 742 Evergreen Terrace ;) I told them I have known the whole time I was being scammed scammed and they should probably find a better profession than trying to rip people off....

Block the number on your phone Deb. Then the phone stops them for you.

Scammers, it seems I am a magnet for these calls, they have called me at least 4 times and another with a different number.... If they are this well known why haven't they been shut down?!

Same here. Road accident in the last twelve months. Told the sod I had a perfect driving record. Asked who was in involved in the accident, where it occurred, the time, the date, the insurance companies, the legal firms etc. He didn't take kindly to being called a scammer. Guess he didn't like it when I called a him a wanker, too.

So angry that they know my name! WTF, who is selling information. Definately a scam, I've never had an accident. Have blocked the number.

good on ya, that's awesome. just had a call from them and asked about me being in a accident 5 months ago, told her no and started to get "angry" and basically called her out on the scam and she replied "this isn't a scam". lol

Called from Road Care, Scam about "The minor traffic incident the other day"

Knew my whole name and said ringing from road care and about an accident I'd been in when said hadn't had one and started question them they hung up. Tried ringing back to no anwer

Told me they were from Freshstart and they had my street address but wanted confirmation of Reg number from me and the other party. Told them the insurance company had it - blocked their number

Got the same as everyone else seemed to of a woman asked if i had been in an accident and i asked sorry what accident? And she said the one where they clipped the side of you has they paid for the damage.? So i said sorry i think you have the wrong person. They hung up straight away.

So i had this number ring the other day put it into google and got this website saying it's a scam, so I decides to have fun with them qhen they called back today they were so happy to hear i had 2 car accidents had extra 5 passengers in mycar who are all entitled to compensation, even told me it was after christmas as my memory wasn't good since hitting my head twice in two accident, Yet only car accident I've ever had was 15 years ago. I finished with oh yes I've recorded this conversation to take to my local police station

I received a call yesterday and once before Kate last year from road care.uk.. Girl with English accent..
There must be a crime /scam stoppers contact number we can refer these people to since the mobile number will be listed somewhere and these people can be traced !!!
