claims to be Telstra Technical department and that your internet is not secure. Call is actually from overseas due to delayed answer. I did not let the call proceed but told him to stop scamming and to get a real job.

Running a business we answer all calls.
But the calls from this number is getting overboard.
8 calls in one day that I alone have answered!

Just now I decided to see just how persistent they are;

The call went along these lines;

Me, Afternoon Saint George Crematorium
Them, Hi I am Servy from Telstra technical department
Me, when are you going to fix the internet as I need to order 6 Pine & 4 Oak coffins
Them, Can you open your computer?
Me, No as there is no internet service
Them, oh you have no internet service.
Me, yes when are you going to fix this as I need to order these coffins and my supplier will not accept a call from a mobile, it has to be done by email; you have rung a mobile
Them, oh I will go and get my supervisor.

This is where this gets interesting

Them, Hi my name is Servy De-Limbs, Telstra employee number D170564
Me , when will you fix the service?
Them, You will need to pay $2.95 by mastercard or visa card to book the Telstra technician.
Me, Why should I pay?
Them, because then we can book Tom Taylor, his number is (02) 8006 2941 to be there in half an hour to fix the problem.
Me, where is he?
Them, Sir we cannot book your repair till you have paid us the booking fee, (this is when she gets very aggressive)
Me, so I can ring him to see where he is?
Them, NO! you need to pay by mastercard or visa card, can you get your cards sir?
Me, NO why should I have to pay for a service repairer
Them, because we cannot book the service repairer till you pay the $2.95
Me, lady we don't charge our customers extra for our service and I see no reason why I should pay you to make a booking...

She then hung up, So out of curiosity I rang the 02 number supplied and it is disconnected.
By the way we are in transport
I was just curious to see haw far they would go in order to rip some-one off.
Stay safe all, Regards, Ron.

I've blocked this number many times before but decided to prank them back and see what happens. After seeing the number come up again, I picked up and answered by saying "Hello, Telstra Support Centre". There was a slight delay and a confused Indian female voice said "OH!!! ....... sorry" and hung up on me. I'm still laughing my head off.

Just had a call from these idiots on the landline trying to tell me my internet would be cut off in 3 days due to suspicious activity! Let rip with a tirade of expletives as I'd literally just gotten off the mobile to Telstra because our internet has been out for hours and spotty at best since some idiot from NBNCo was digging in the pit on the corner of the block 3 days ago :(

He took a long time to answer while I kept asking what did he want and then he launched into 'your computer is infected' ... at which point I told him to just shut up and slammed down the receiver. That was days ago, and they keep ringing, sometimes several times a day. Now I see who is ringing and don't pick up, but they still keep trying. I wish there were some way of shutting them down.

Indian or Pakistani accent claiming to be Telstra Technical Department. Attempted to get me to enter some commands direct into the terminal of my computer. I asked him if he knew my telstra user ID. He said that he knew everything because he was from Telstra but never was able to tell me my user ID. Obvious Scam. After a few minutes of this nonsense I hung up.

The lady (I use that term loosely) told me she was from Telstra and that I had a computer virus. I normally just hang up but today i thought it was time to have some fun. I played along for a while and then just hung up. She rang straight back and she asked why did I hang up, I told her it wasn't me it was her and I was very worried about the virus she said I had. After some time she realised that I was on to her and final reply to me was I was old and I should jump in the lake. It was the best laugh I have had for a while.

Some lying thieving Indian bastard rang from this number claiming to be Telstra. I don't know where they got my number from as it is unlisted. But I am somewhat suspicious as I have had to deal with Telstra this week due to internet problems so I went along for a moment .. they are just f*cking scammers and it would not surprise me if they were making these scammy calls from the same bloody Indian call centre Telstra uses.

They have called over 5 times in two days. I decided to string them along and say I also worked for Telstra too. The gent was very aggressive and told me he was going to come to my house and kill me and my family... freaked me out because he knew my address too.

Received a second call today, 22 Feb 2018. The second call about 3:20pm said bye after a few seconds and hung up. My land said it was (03) 9584 1205. I called the number back, there was a recorded message saying the number was disconnected.

They told me i had to visit a certain site to claim my free 2 week vacation to Fiji. I did it from a Virtual Machine that i had as a spare. Then immediately they had full control and requested i pay the tax of 2.95 for processing fee. They led me to a webpage and i entered fake details and hit submit. They then told me my card was rejected due to a virus... low and behold they cryptolocked up the vm and told me i was being reported to authorities and the trip was now not on as i would be in prison within 24 hours if i did not pay the ransom and let them clean up the mess. Told them i was a bored IT guru and was called a mother%%%%3r and to rot in hell....
