This number has called many times over the last few days and after first call and initial intro that he is from Telstra technical department and insistance that my computer is infected with viruses that he needs to fix he has offered a phone number and a staff id after I said that Telstra would have proper identification if they are ringing out of the blue asking me to sit in front of my computer "right now" and do what he says so the "problem" would be fixed. Definitely a scam and he gets quite agitated and talks over the top of you if you try to ask anything. Have had other numbers call too with the same scam - different numbers maybe but the same foreign accent with the same story. They are so persistent and annoying.

Well done, Ron. Good to waste their precious 'call scam time', (unfortunately our precious time, too, but we do get some satisfaction, eh?). Parasites!!

Received multiple calls from this number daily, sometimes i play along to waste their time, they normally hang up when i start Laughing or tell them
I know they are scammers. Foreign accent, poor English, overseas connected based on the delay. Have reported them to the ACCC and scam watch.

Told me that my computer had a virus and need to pay to fix it. I told them that I will get my credit card, after 2 hours came back to the phone and they were still waiting for my credit card details, I told them that someone stole my credit card and I can't pay today, they hung up on me. No calls for a couple of days now.

Well they get a hold of our number some how. There's a good chance our phone companies are selling our information. How else do they get our number? Optus sent me a letter a long time ago about this sort of goings on and said they don't give out our information. I don't believe it. They make big money selling our info to tele marketers and scammers. they don't care about us. I get the same calls for the last month. Usually 4 to 12 times a day. I have done all sorts of things with them. Have also been abused when i tell them they are cheaters or whatever. I feel sorry for these people in these countries were they do anything for a bit of money. The black market will only increase as our world becomes more unstable. Thanks to these sites to make people aware and in knowledge. HARE KRSNA....

This number has been ringing every day after 5pm EAST most days but not exclusively this time frame, easily 3-5 calls daily every afternoon for the past 2 weeks, before then I wasn't monitoring but can say been regularly 3 at week for January. Surely there is something that can be done. They know it is a legitimate phone number as either you answering or they get an answering machine, unlike what you get if you ring there number. Just want to blow a foghorn down the line to blast there eardrums out for the frustration and annoyance they are causing

Hi there, I keep getting harassing calls from this number. Many many calls every day, because I have called them out on being a scammer, they have now taken to calling me "a f*cking bitch", "stupid cow" and imitating my voice and what I say when I answer the phone. I would disconnect the phone, however its used for business. Not sure if I can report it somewhere as the calls are coming in at all hours of the day and are now quite harassing.

That number has been on my home phone register many times and now I finally answered it after reading all those complaints. A foreign very distant woman voice answered. I spoke very slowly and clearly and said that the call is being traced and therefore not to hang up and that the police will get them. She hang up very quickly. Don't put up with it or chat to them, scare them or they won't stop.

Claims you have fault with your computer. Scam. I have set answering machine to answer after 6 rings. I check number on screen, then, as soon as it answers, they hang up. Do not have to talk to them.

Claimed to be Telstra but he was a complete moron saying I had viruses on my PC and he needed to use TEAMVIEW to connect to my PC to fix all the problems. He said the fee was minimal ... blah blah ... I told him to scam someone who had at least half a brain as my PC here at he shop is not connected to the Internet. It is used for Invoicing and stock control only. Telstra should inform their employees which customers actual have an internet connection before they ring to connect to a PC over the internet. Obviously these are brainless scammers ....

Scammers - "Microsoft or Telstra Technical Support - You have a virus on your computer". They call regularly, they must enjoy the chat with our answering machine because they keep calling despite being blocked. Can't be legal telemarketers as we are on the DNC register.

Since the NBNwas installed we have been unidated with nuisance calls
Invested in a cordless phone that registers numbers
This is great as the same system allows caller baring.
