Foxtel marketing called me up from this number to upgrade to IQ3 for a once off $75 so I accepted. Should get my new box in 10-14 days.

"TV news is obsolete"
Just because you don't watch the news doesn't make it obsolete.

Horrific customer service

Posted on January 12, 2017

We had horrific customer service with Foxtel, to the point where we had to threaten to take legal action against Foxtel corporation just to cancel it, they refused to let us cancel because they stuffed up the date of birth on a previous transfer of ownership due to a incompetent call center over seas. The old date of birth was still on the account and they refused to accept the smart card number the account number the bill number the full name date of birth and address of the account holder in order to cancel. DO NOT sign up with Foxtel, ever, cut all the cords send back all the cable boxes they're a huge huge waste of money. This is 2017 you can get netflix quality entertainment for about 10 bucks, spotify is free or 10 bucks for premium, youtube is free, etc, TV news is obsolete and full of ads and Foxtel even runs ads constantly even though you're already paying for it to double dip. What an extortion. We don't know why they called us because they refused to leave a voicemail and just hung up on us!

I canceled my Foxtel a few weeks ago and the. Like was quite rude to me so when I got an email to take their survey I told them exactly what I thought of how I was treated. A couple of weeks later I had a voicemail from this number and the person just grunted on the message.

I cancelled a week ago from FOXTEL and replied to a txt telling them not to call, just cancel the account. 15 calls since and still the account isn't cancelled. It's just a ploy to drag out another month of charges on a product nobody wants.

Same happened to me today 8/June. Basically only had my first name and then tried to get me to confirm my last name and date of birth. I said you have that info already on your screen and you called me. Gave me a long winded pitch to try to "upgrade" me to the LATEST iQ3 for $300. iQ3 has been around for at least 12 months and if you really want one you can buy for $125 on-line.
Definitely a scam or at least I trust that Foxtel would not be engaged in such dodgy practice.

Just got a call on my mobile from this number, (03) 8325 0950, claiming to be FOXTEL. Foxtel have never rung me like this before. Supposedly, Foxtel had an offer on a new IQ Box, couldn't hear clearly as the reception was bad, and foreign. The woman claimed she had access to my contract in front of her. I kept demanding that she send the offer details to me in an email but she claimed she did not have my email and then wouldn't do it. She then hung up.
I rang the number back, and I heard part of a genuine Foxtel message (obviously recorded somehow), but then the line cuts out.
Dodgy!

I didn't answer but I cancelled FOXTEL a few days ago. Seems to be a pattern based on other comments here.

Pissed Off

I disconnected 2 days ago after a one month trial. I had received the text message for returning the box to the post office literally this morning. This random call from a RUDE outsourced call centre (?) kept harassing to get my name and date of birth, after refusing multiple times as it was completely unsolicited and that I had confirmed my action to return the box, I finally said I would call someone back to confirm I was actually speaking to Foxtel -- I can assure you they won't be happy to receive my call when I do.
