I called the number back and it was NBN. I suspect someone has spoofed their number, as I have no appointment booked with them. This number only calls you if you have an appointment, etc booked with them.

NOT SPAM! This turned out to be a legitimate call from NBN to set up a time to replace an old modem. This is despite my Samsung phone claiming it was a possible spam call.

Picked up the call at work, they said they was calling about an over due account and asking to speak to Jack, we don't have a Jack working here. After i told them we don't have anyone here by that name, they asked for the accounts department, but after i told they wasn't available they hung up

I just received their call (they tried 6 times and I never picked up as I googled and saw "scam" ) ... Its NBN.. legit! Yes, an Indian voice generally indicates something else... but it was legit.

Legitimate call from NBNCo, providing me with further information regarding infrastructure issues that meant my recent fibre install wasn't able to be completed. They were able to give me updated information on what work was required and the expected timeframe that a technician would be out to complete the work. I also received an email from my ISP shortly after with the confirmation that they had received the same info from NBNCo.

Legitimate call from NBN. They left a message quoting a reference number and a callback number.

Your technician is wrong. I installed the phone systems that NBN use to call out, and can 100% guarantee this is the default caller-id for all their services.

Legitimate NBN Call. This is the caller-id they present out for all call centre calls. If you call back, it tells you that it's NBN trying to contact you and that you'll get another call shortly.

People (including field technicians) claiming that NBN will never call are completely wrong. NBN absolutely do this to confirm appointments and for other business, such as if you have a new-development request.

Source: I have inside knowledge on the contact centre platform.

Caller: NBNco Infrastructure

NBNco left message on my answering machine to say the problem I reported with their infrastructure on a power pole was going to be investigated today.

We've had a lot of problems with people nicking the old copper wires and damaging actual power wires as well, and making the stobie poles (concrete with steel frames) live... So I reported with the snap send solve app. "pit and equipment - nbn". There were loose wires hanging from the bottom of the power pole.

Finally got a way to report to them (snap send solve app), maybe they will clean up some of the redundant infrastructure.

You would think the NBN would at least make their own phones work properly, HA! They called at least 5 times this morning but everytime I answered the line was dead as though they had pressed mute at their end. Still haven't been able to hear them and the last time they called I suggested they try some other method of contact.

Not scam. It was call from NBN who my iSP said would call because I contacted the ISP and said I was experiencing NBN connection problems the previous day.
