This is a scam caller saying she is from NBN and wanted to test my equipment in preparation for next week's appointment. She had my name and details of my upcoming NBN appointment so it sounded legit. It's definitely a scam so block this number. They want to sell you equipment or get your personal/bank details. Block the number

Received call from this number many times since I had organised the NBN connection; An indian guy called which I couldn't even understand one words he said. They rang any time of the day and always left a message. The last call I received was 2 weeks ago saying need to organise an appointment (with a very poor line connection) to install NBN at my property and kept asking me to wait on the line as he was checking the available date. My address, mobile number & date of birth was given to him. my credit card was charged $2000 a week after this call. Not sure if it is coincidence.

99% a scam, calling to confirm details they should already know. Very bad dodgy line.. wanted remote access to my devices. Somehow knew what day Optus was sending out a technician for my NBN setup..

Have been waiting for NBN connection in order to book installation. Was told by Optus that it should be ready by end of month. Nearing the end of the month I get a random call from this number to book installation. I said that shouldnt I be getting called from Optus but they said that they just needed to confirm DOB and address. Unfortunately I did give these details . Anyone know what they may do?
Also beware this number is not to be trusted.

I received 2 calls from tbis number. First time was a Indian lady whom I didn't catch her name and the second time (this time more aware of them) from Ronak (female with Indian accent). My experience with them was I originally was going to go with 1 service provider and then cancelled the nbn tech visit and went with different service provider. They called me on this number to confirmed the arranged the original booking during this time. I stayed home, but no show! Called them back and they said they had no record. I reported them to my old service provider that my information may have been compromised as I had found out nbn doesn't do these calls. Once connected with the second service provider, I have had since have them call about the second booked in technician time visit. They txt me and called me on this number trying to get me to confirm my information. I have no idea how they are getting my confirmed appointment times but I have reported this to the second service provider who is escalating the matter. The first time, I took work off to attend to the appointment time and unknowingly confirmed my address to them days before as I thought it was legit from nbn however come the day and no one turned up. Lucky they hadn't accessed too much more information from me. Please watch out scammers alert!!

A guy with extremely strong Indian accent called from this number, said he’s from NBN. He said he could connect my internet over the phone. But just a few days ago, a guy called to confirm a technician coming to set up an NBN box in a few days, why he could help set up now? Strange! Don’t know how and why he had all the information, like my number, full name, address, and date &time of my appointment with a technician.

Had an issue with the home phone not working. Rang Telstra the day before and issue was solved for the time being. Next day this lady rang and wanted to HELP ME CONNECT THE INTERNET. I had an appointment for the technician to come and do that for me ,so I don't understand why she was ringing me. I didn't think it was a scam, but after reading alll of these complaints, NOW I KNOW IT IS!!!!!
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to let us know.

Caller: SCAMMERS pretending to be NBN

Scammers pretending to be the NBN!!! My ISP and the NBN confirmed. Somehow they knew my appointment time for my NBN installation. I’ve reported this to my ISP, really not happy this information was leaked! DONT give them any personal details and DONT give them access to your computer or laptop!! After the first phone call where I stupidly gave them my address thinking it was legitimate they kept trying to call me 3x a day leaving me messages. A sub contractor will be installing your NBN not the actual NBN! Expect a call from a sub contractor to confirm your appointment, not this place! My appointment has passed now and since then I haven’t received anymore calls.
Be very careful!

Caller: Introduced themselves as NBN

I am changing to NBN through Optus who have made all the arrangements and were very good with all communications. Next, out of the blue, I get these NBN calls wanting to check the equipment supplied by NBN and Optus. I was suspicious of their calls as they were very persistent and I could see no reason why they were directly involved when I was dealing with Optus I tried to ring NBN and Optus to check on the number but that proved impossible. Suspect they were scammers so told them quite firmly and impolitely to not call back. Haven't heard anything for 2 days!!

Caller: NBN Call centre

I have no issue with being called by the NBN call centre, I have a great issue with rescheduling an appointment due to being away with work on a certain date, then receiving a call from the call centre ON THAT DATE asking me to confirm information about my home connectivity when I'M NOT THERE. The lady on the phone became really frustrated when I couldn't answer her questions. It wasn't that I didn't want to - I simply couldn't and she couldn't grasp that concept. Not great that our National Broadband provider is using an out-of-country call centre, to be honest - I find that less than impressive
