Rings every day at the same time... called it back the first time and the machine said it was optus. Does anyone know how to stop this? It has been going on for the last 16 weeks...

It's Optus or a scammer. A distinction without a difference.

I have been getting calls daily from this number. Very annoying. Why doesn't Optus sort this out.. Enough to put you off Optus. Surely they are in a position to stop this even if it is not Optus calling.

Very irritating, calls everyday without leaving message. If it's really Optus, they should put a stop to this.

yep, background noise,sounded like a child was there. asking me details about my optus plan and how i can save.. looked up on reverse australia and my suspicion was confirmed. scam artist

Just got a call. A guy claiming to be from Optus. He had some super exclusive offer saving me all of $5 off my phone bill. They knew my home address and the day and month of my birthdate. Seemed shonky, so I declined their amazing offer of $5 off/month. Don't even bother answering!

i missed the call but when i rang it back it was directing me to call optus in their numbers so i dont think its a scam but who knows

I did not answer any calls from this number. After seeing posts stating that the number claims to represent Optus and is requesting personal details, I contacted Optus directly to enquire if this number is legitimate. They stated that Optus has no affiliation with (02) 8049 6146, and then blocked the number from my service. Thank you the real Optus.

I have received a call from this number claiming to be Optus and they knew my name. As soon as I queried this deal they hung up. Assuming its a scam.

the guy didn't sound so professional and all i said is call me back in 10mins and they never called me back. Thats how you know they're scammers wanting ur money

This number has been calling me so I called them back and the automatic message said it was optus.. so I then called optus and once I was connected with a lady they hung up on me... something extremely fishing going on here..

Voicemail was left from someone foreign saying "Hello? Hello?" They called me by my surname so I knew it was dodgy. Going by these other comments I'll make sure to block it

just called me while i was at school in class and used a nickname of mine. that is the first time i answered, they claimed to be optus but my optus is registered with my name not a nickname so it has to be a sort of scam or something...

calls once a day during the week never pick it up because it is an eastern states number

Wont stop calling, called 4 times on a sunday morning before 9am. will be blocking this number.

said they were from optus but needed all my detail. its a scam

Big scam.

Constantly calling leaves no message.
When i picked up they said they are the phone company and wanted to confim my details like adress and date of birth etc.
I said they should already have it.
They said they still want to confirm it.
I said no. Bye.
