Caller: Scamers The latest scam stating that you've been involved in a motor vehicle accident over the last 1-2 years (a very broad range), from motor vehicle claims, motor vehicle insurance. The first lot of calls they didn't even get my full name correct. I have told them in the past that they don't have my permission to have any of my personal details and demanded to have my details removed from their database, they don't do it and use another number to harass you. More dumb arsed Indian Scammers! Had quite a few of these lately. Abuse them until they hang up or extend the call for as long as possible and give them the run around, beat them at their own game. They will eventually give up on you and look for another potential sucker. I now have quite a bit of fun with them with some of their calls or just make them wait.

I reminded them it is prohibited by law to cold call people for these kinds of injury shopping litigations, and the guy got really flustered. I hung up.
I imagine they managed to get my phone number off my insurer or the WA police databases as they are the only two entities that know about my accident last year.

Same deal rung asked if i had had an accident , i didnt answer, said i could be entitled to som compensation, Said they are some independant insurance company. dont let people hook u by thinking there is a possibilitie u entitled to something. my insurance company would have told me if i were. i do know that insurance companies acsess some register that shows them if you have had an accident or fines. its "off the record" but exists andd i think this scam has acess to that register. dont answer asdk for their company ABN or ACn they generally think they dont need one but if their legit it be hanging on the office wall

I don't pick up numbers not in my phone, didn't answer, they reached my voicemail, didn't leave one, googled number, found this page, had a bad day so I may have threatened these scum with a death of their own, my number got leaked and I get a spam call once a day, I'm sick of these sub humans being allowed to operate in Australia, I would deport every last one of them and their families If I had the power to.

Caller: Car accident scammers Scam called AGAIN, trying to collect personal information. First speaker was named "Jenny", she then put me on to her supervisor "Christopher". Jenny had a strong Indian accent. Christopher had a milder accent - better educated maybe? They want details of Police report numbers, medicare number etc. I pretended that I had an accident (I've never had one) and they said I am eligible for compensation. I confronted them and demanded to be taken off their call register. He said "I cannot do that", I said "Yes you can, it is Australian law". He repeated that he is unable to remove my details. I said he is then in breach of Australian law and he hung up on me.

Was on hold to Telstra for 20 minutes sorting out a Telstra (Telstra at fault) dispute when this call came through. I thought it might have been Telstra calling as I don’t normally answer numbers I don’t know. She said something about an accident I’d been involved in within the last 2 years. I said who’s calling? She repeated some Accidental management something. Being so frustrated with Telstra I just yelled out GO AWAY! I’m laughing about it now. Scammers!
