Item just put in Gumtree, must have a bot scrubbing for new and pricey items. No negotiation, no queries, just they will arrange courier. Hmmmm, I like Gumtree for its aspect of local transactions, face to face. They chose to get out of the Gumtree platform from the start. Already raises flags. All the elements of a scam.

I leave some calls to stop. Then I ring back on another phone line. This means they haven't been able to register my main number as "live". This one is mildly clever. It then asks you to give your phone number so they can call back. I don't of course. Anyone calling back on my second phone number is immediately identifiable as a spammer or pollster as the line is only used for true emergencies...

Same here. Ireceived an sms at 10:40am but did not check my phone till 6:00pm. I immediately called my daughter on her normal number and she laughed and said it was not true. So I blocked the pathetic basdard.

In the middle of May, I received several calls from this number but did not answer as the number is not in my phone book. No messages were left. Suspect behaviour to me possibly a scam or perhaps a charity seeking donations as the end of the financial year approaches,

Received a msg saying that there’s a withdrawal of $500+ and to contact them on this number to verify it was me. I did call them on this number but I refuse to give them any info including my email… as I was unsure, told them I’ll check my account and that was the end of the call.. Its a play on AIA -- an insurance company. Note that AUAIA does not exist in any context. Also note that this is not a short code, it can be replied to, doesn't have an associated Name to go with that short code, and gives you an "appointment" in a close proximity to when you receive the message. That's a classic scam technique, to give a sense of urgency. Its definitely a scam.
