Caller: I got a text message from PayPal saying a transaction pending review of a large sum of money and if it wasn’t me contact this number. I looked up the PayPal customer service number and that wasn’t it and looked in my PayPal account and nothing seemed to be pending so didn’t want to call the number. Text message from PayPal asking me to call the above number if I hadn’t made a large purchase.

Caller: Scammer Received an sms purporting to be from PayPal saying call 1800 272 947 if I didn’t make a large purchase. Funny thing - I don’t have PayPal

I got a text saying they were from PayPal and to call this number. I’ve had no activity on PayPal and suspect this is spam, the text came from a email account with a name and email address.
