I picked up a call from here once and it automatically hung up. I figured that if it was important they would call back or leave a message. They call me 2-3 times a week now. They are on my reject list so I never pick up. I'm switching providers asap because I have enough on my plate and don't need to worry about random numbers possibly being important calls I missed.

I had them call and the girl was really helpful on updating my services, so i don't see what the big issue is, if you don't want to be called get on the opt out list.

But i was happy to hear from someone in getting what i wanted from my carrier.

These guys are still in action. Three calls in the last two days.

I got hassled by them last year but then they went away for a while.

I've added the number to the Call Rejection list on my Samsung Galaxy phone. Hopefully that will get rid of them for good.

Keep calling but I don't answer. You think they'd get the message.

I recieved a call from this number, they asked me to confirm my details. I told them I wouldn't unless they could prove who they were.

I rang back Optus who confirmed that they DIDNT make the call...

They just rang me. Not recognising the number I didn't answer. I googled it and it came up with this site and I'm really glad I didn't answer it. Well they are on my auto reject list now.

I just received a call with the "antivirus" story. He said he would email me through the details, but wanted my email address to send it through to. Now if they were truly Optus Business as they state, they would have my email address. He said he had my last account, and my ABN etc, but couldnt see my email. I declined on that basis alone. I dont need to have my email address on any more mailing lists. Hung up, added them to blacklist.

I started getting phone calls from this number about a week and a half ago. I never ever answer a call if I don’t recognize the number, I noticed I had 3 missed calls from this number and much to my surprise not one voicemessage. (I would have rung the number back had they have left a message) The next day, the same thing, countless missed calls and no voicemessages.

I don’t even know why I thought to google the number, but I did, and I am so glag I did because I came across this exact page with all these complaints. (what a good gut feeling)

Since then Ive received anything between 4-7 calls daily and have avoided answering everytime. My contract with Optus is due to finish in a month but I am going to terminate the contract early and change providers! CANT BLOODY WAIT! I really am tempted to answer one of these calls just to tell them to F OFF!!!

Annoyed

I have recieved a call from the everyday from for the past week. Now that I actually answered I spoke to someone named Nevin who informed me that there are problems with the Samsung (which I have had) and that they are offering a free download of some antivirus software for one month and then from there you have to pay $8.00 per month for your phone to work. I asked to be transfered to customer service which they did and then after speaking to customer service I was told the call is bogus and that it is impossible that whoever called from this number was even able to transfer me to customer service (which they did). Either way I attempted to make a complaint and was shut down by the customer service operator and then I googled the number and found this. I'll know not to answer the call the next time they call.

Don't rely on the TIO - they are a "toothless tiger" and will do NOTHING about it!!!!
I'm waiting for someone at Optus to get back to me now.
I'll certainly tell them of this site!

Ban Call

Such calls can be "silenced" on the iPhone. This will still allow the calls to come through, but will silence the ring so you won't even notice. To set this up, download this iPhone silent ringtone (be sure to right-click or cmd-click and "Save As"), import it into iTunes, and sync it to your iPhone. On your iPhone, add the number you want to block/silence to your contacts and set the silent ringtone as that contact's custom ringtone. Also set Vibration to None. Enjoy!
