Called from (08) 7100 1205 to my mobile, accented gent on behalf of "Smart Customer Services", wanting to talk to "working homeowner", qualify me and then arrange local follow up .... I've had this before - very hard to shake the local people off ... Usually financial planner / get rich quick .... Be warned!

A call came in today from this number, it only rings a few times, so for anyone like me who is slow to get to the phone, it is a real pain!!!!!

Just got a call from a heavily accented Indian woman claiming to be from Smart Retirement Services, a government plan.
I declined to give any personal details and when I asked for their ABN she hung up. Have tried to call back a few times just to piss them off nearly as much as I am - its always busy.

Guys this is a major Scam there is no scheme like the one they describe.

Claimed to be from Smart Insurance Services with info about a Government incentive for homeowners. 
Numerous times I've been called by someone claiming to be this company... and I have asked them to stop calling. All I can do is keep blocking the numbers because they also call my work phone. They don't take it well most times. I have had them get quite upset when I say that I am not interested in the information.

Called me several time throughout this week.. rings 2-3 times then hang up..

if the people/organisation making these calls are reading this ( probably via google translate :-( GO AWAY and do something REAL with your lives.. YOU ARE VERMIN...

Called me 3 times today. Whenever I call back the number is engaged. Annoying. I signed up for the 'do not call register' many years ago. A couple of weeks ago I got my first bout of market research calls phoning me several days in a row until I finally answered. When I told them I was on the do not call register they apologised and hung up. I'm going to register again just in case my registration has lapsed.

Suspect that this is a telemarketing scam, wont say where they are calling from (sounds long distance) & flogging government retirement incentive, told them not interested...but they keep on ringing.

For all those crappy calls: #1 – Buy a phone with number display. #2 -Never answer the phone directly. #3 – Block the number that come up on your p/display and are not on your phone book #4 – for those other calls from overseas or silent numbers have your answering machine to answer for you but only say “hello” and nothing else or cancel the call. And remember “Curiosity killed the cat”.
