Just answered a call just now. A very heavy accented Indian started saying something about home owners government plan. I asked him to speak properly as he spoke that fast I could not understand him. Whilst he was trying to spin his bullsh*t I checked here and found as per usual its a scam. So I figured I would have some fun with the idiot.
He then repeated do you own your home, my reply was yeah mate I have 42 houses I rent and 2 commercial properties that I lease out.
(yeah don't I wish, I rent)
Then the line dropped out. Bugger it; as I wanted to find out just how far I could push this idiot!

Got a call from the number; didn't call back, Googled it; I'd like to thank everyone for posting the info on this page. There are a lot of things that suck in this world; scam phone calls are top of my list

To stop these types of calls just keep a list of their numbers then ring your service provider, e.g. Telstra, and ask them to block the calls. It's a free service.

I get a kick out of these. You always have to say hello 2-3 times before they say anything, dead set giveaway. They do their spiel and i say yes i am interested but i have a pot on the stove and ask if they can wait a sec so i can turn the stove off, i then place the phone in the linen closet and go about my business. Its not all bad though annoying at times..enjoy because lifes not forever.

Got a missed call from this number while I was at work around mid-day. I did not answer because don't know the number. Waste of time and very annoying to have this number ring and not leave a message!

10 x calls in 3 days. The last time actually someone spoke until I gave them a serve. Have contacted my service provided and they have place a block and a trace on the number. If by chance they change number and the annoying calls continue Telstra will send 2 legal letters to them if they persist Telstra advise will will disconnect the number their end.

Keeps calling finally understood what they do told them if it's legitimate they should have an address or information booklet what they are doing is collecting people's data and selling to third parties or identity theft possibly be very careful with this.

This just happened to me today. They used the home owners government plan. I told them I was the oldest person in Australia, they asked my age, I told them that I was 200, then they hung up. How rude of them.

I have received a call from this number about 4 times, each time it's been a missed call......one time it's an 07 prefix and another time it's an 08 prefix, but the same number. They probably have a call centre in a couple of states.

A friend bought diet pills on line and within 3 weeks had deducted continually up to $1,100 from credit card. Called the number after speaking with Department of Fair Trading and they said it is an adelaide number and is based in Singapore. Completely dodgy - do not trust - do not buy anything or even speak with them. please be careful

I regularly get calls from this number, Telstra have blocked it on my landline and are now putting a trace on mobile. have called number - got recording asking to leave a message - advised them that their telemarketers are taking them for ride claiming to have done x mount of calls when in fact they only call until someone answers and they hang up...someone surely has to pay the phone bill and wages for their callers...who is that someone and what do they want?
