Just got a call from an Indian Sounding number - also (08) 7100 1205 - guy assumed I was the home owner and mentioned something about govt incentives. I just played dump and he hung up

Quite aggressive when I challenged their authenticity to be calling on behalf of the gov. Was clearly trainined to deal with do not call register objections claiming it was a) not relevant because it wasn't telemarketing and b) my number had been taken from the white/yellow pages. It was my work mobile number and as I control our work phone contract I am certain we have not listed staff mobiles. It was a bold faced lie. I get the feeling they are told that our govt requires us to take these calls or something. I told him he was working for a scamming ompany and his bosses were lying to him ... haad to hang up as he just kept arguing with me. Their information wasnt even correct (an old rental address from many years ago). Bad news.

Would love to know who is funding these unscrupulous tele callers. I have had four on home phone and 4 on mobile. SURELY someone is paying the bill. Are these callers taking their own company for a ride by saying they are making the calls and the caller is hanging up??? Then the owners that are paying the telephone bill are idiots apart from being cons. The service provider for this number needs to be taken to task for allowing the user to abuse the time and energy of those they bother with their no-answer calls. we need to find out who the service provider is and hassle them!!!!!!!!!

Just got a call from this No. thank god I didnt answer it and that there is sites like this to establish who the hell the caller is

Indian voice calls saying hes from optus giving me good deals on my phone plan he said to verify name address date of birth and then he went through details of plans then he asked for my bank details... and i said why do u need that and he hung up

Have had several calls this past week from this number, first time I answered today. Heavily accented Indian gents, very pushy. It's a scam for Australian home owners who work fulltime - lost me there - because like the Govt would have any benefits for me! Told him I wasn't interested and hung up when he continued. He called me back and I let it go to message bank - when I listed later it was all abuse!! Number Blocked.

I Just answered a call from a heavy accented Indian started saying something about home owners government plan, they had called my elderly neighbours and tried to scam them. I let (Raymond) as he told me his name have it. As I feel these people are they scum of the earth trying to rip us and old people off. He had the nerve after I hung up on him to call back and call me rude etc etc, and I reminded him of what he was doing and hung up, he then kept calling.

I always use a very formal voice when answering the phone. I start with, Can I help you. If the caller is starts to go on about computer or taxation or banking issue I curtly refer them to our IT or Accounts department I tell them to hang on and I'll put them through most times they are gone before I get that far. Anyway have fun sticking it up them.number

Just had this caller, hung up on me when I told them I'm on the do not call list. Always that pause when you answer with the hello. Dead giveaway. Wanted to know if I owned my home..... none of your business!

We have had fourteen CALLS in two days,,,!!!!

Consistant caller what hangs up once stated name - innappropriate when it's a working business that doesn't have time for their rubbish. Tried calling their number back; but go figure that didn't work.
Would like to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Just got a call from this number. Heavy Indian accent saying that she was from Smart Personal Services asking if I owned my own home and was between 17 and 60, if so I could ......... couldn't understand her.
I asked if this business was Australian Based business, certainly mam.
Then could I have your ABN, certainly mam.
Then the line went dead - can't seem to be able to call them back.

Telemarketing scam. Guy with a thick accent called trying to give me details about a 'government retirement incentive', then hung up when I asked where he was calling from.

Called saying they were from my bank (won't mention who it is) and also verifying my home address! When asked what they actually called for they kept ignoring me and pushing for me to give them details and when i said id prefer to talk about bank matters in person at the branch they hung up immediately

My mobile is infested with these losers recently. I'm so over it.
