I have been getting calls from this number now (weekdays only) for a couple of weeks - generally 2 calls a day. I have listed it in my phone index DO NOT ANSWER (with an ID number, as I have about 12 others the same!) Generally ring late morning and again around 5pm. Driving me NUTS!

Nine missed calls. None of them left a message. Going on my autoreject list. Just annoying.

Just got a call from this number. They had all my details but after checking their number on this site and putting that to them, they told me that they were not from Telstra.
They are out right liars!

I'm already on the DNC register and still receive spam calls. The register is only useful where companies adhere to the Australian rules but call centres in other countries may not be obliged to comply...

For the past three weeks I have been trialling a neat little free mobile app called "Should I Answer". It has a five star rating on Google Play Store. So far it has stopped a dozen callers that I find are listed as nuisance callers according to ReverseAustralia.com, and it hasn't mistaken or blocked any calls it shouldn't have. I think it's pretty effective and worth while suggesting others give it a try too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mistergroup.muzutozvednout&hl=en

get calls from this number up to 4 times during a day - and that is just while I am in the house. I let the call ring out and then use the *10# facility on my landline to find out what no. There is another one (02) 8448 5661) and neither of these have anyone answering - the call is just to determine when you are home as mentioned by another poster. If the call says it is from a private number it may be that or an overseas callcentre.
