Don't be an idiot and blow a whistle down the line. That's kind of, um, assault. Just register with the Do Not Call Register (www.donotcall.gov.au), answer the phone and ask that they don't call again, or block the number. Pretty easy, right?

Thanks Telstra Customer, I'm glad you mentioned that. I had a telemarketer call me a few years ago saying he represented Telstra and wanted me to verify my details over the phone in which I refused as I wasn't sure if he was legit. Then he became very abusive and I eventually hung up. So I contacted Telstra about the incident and they mentioned that all their representatives have a Telstra ID number which they must disclose if you request it, in which you can call back and verify. But of course the caller could make up random numbers so be sure to verify the caller by calling back before handing over your details.

They have called me to offer me this super deal that used to be $65 per month and just for me they will drop the price to $55.
Told them to get lost and checked the Telstra page to check out this plan and surprise, the same deal was only $50.
Telstra rip-off at its best.
