(07) 5416 9854 rings but never leaves a message-so I know they are scammers. I am on the do not call register, but still get phone calls all the time.

they called me 4 times in the space of 2 hours on 3 January and then again on 4 January. no one there first time so after that i did not answer when i saw number come up.
Next time they try i am tempted to answer and then blow a whistle into the phone and hope it annoys them as much as their calls annoy me!

Same as above. This is the Telstra Technical Department. There is a problem with your Internet Connection. I don't have an account with Telstra! Also highly unlikely that Telstra would tell you about a problem - hard enough to get them to fix things at the best of times (which is why I'm not with Telstra). Is there any law stopping me from making very loud noises over the line (feedback scream perhaps).

Called four times today - damn annoying - I know it is not Telstra and tell them they are not from Telstra and to stop calling me, however they keep calling over and over again. I am contacting Telstra now to report the number and hopefully have the number blocked from my phone at least.

Called from a call centre with Indian voices in the background. Gave me a phone number (03) 9107 5000 which is supposedly Telstra.Wanted me to turn on my computer and go to a particular website. Scam.

Phone Christmas Day and Boxing Day first thing in the morning then hung up. Check PC and found this site. Thank you

Tried to scam me, told them to go away and they kept ringing.

Call from (07) 5416 9854 number and explained , calling from Head office (242) Melbourne.
asking for IP address of my Laptop - Scam call... unluckily she is stuck with Telstra employee and fail to give answer/give Telstra ID

They have been ringing for the last 10 days at least twice a day. Also come through as Private number. Same message. - We are from Telstra Technical department.

Got 2 calls within 10 minutes. Pretty sure my wife had a similar call a couple of days ago. Caller a woman called Sarah. Told me my computer was at risk. Said I didn't believe her and hung up. Have ability to block calls from this number.

Asian woman has called 4 times in the past 2hours. Definitely aware of the scam, continue to hang up or not answer. How frustrating.

Pretended to be from Telstra. Said that Telstra was monitoring my internet usage and that everything was fine, however, my internet connection was compromised. She said my IP address got compromised, I asked her to tell me what my IP address was, she gave me the number. I told her that wasn't my IP and said I think that she's a scam, she hung up.

Most likely a scam call. I now have a "SonicWall Firewall" in place due to various issues with international "hacking". Since 'installing' the firewall, I now just tell them I have it, and most times they hang up (obviously know what it is), on the other hand though, some do try to tell me I still have 'issues'. Love playing with them - great enjoyment! After 'playing around' for a little bit, they did tend to stop calling. LOL. IT Guy vs Scammer - IT guy 40 - 0 :).

Blocked this number thanks to my landline feature with Optus.

Scam callers, They tried 3 times today. We automatically divert them to "Its Lenny" (Search YouTube for examples) and let them try to scam him.
