They rang my mobile, I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message

I ask them to verify their identity e.g their mother's birth weight.

Caller: Don’t know

Didn’t answer as it didn’t ring for long

Keep trying but don't leave a message. Typed the number into google and this page come up. low life pricks.

I just add to blacklist on my phone.

Caller: Saying he's from Telstra

An Aussie calling saying that he's from Telstra and want to check if I'm happy with my plan. Stated my full name, then asked me to state my DOB. I cut him off and said nah I'm happy with what I've got. He then said OK and hang up. Don't EVER lead them on by giving out information. I always say, you're the one who calls me why don't you read what you've got on the screen, buddy. If I need the offer, I would've called. Timewaster scammers!

I don’t often answer unknown numbers but did this time and as usual they hung up when I answered. Why do they do this? It just doesn’t make sense!

Caller: Telstra - TSA

Legitimate call from TSA on behalf of Telstra - they knew information that no scammer would know.

The irony? It’s 2019 still being used and they are saying they ARE TELSTRA. And apparently Telstra don’t mind scammers acting like they are from Telstra.

They keep calling me on different and private numbers multiple times over the past 2 days. I did the nut the second time they called on private and then just kept hanging up after that. They then changed to a NSW number and when I answered abused and threatened me and have continued on for the last 24 hours different numbers and threats

Called contacts listed on my phone bill/numbers rung enquiring about details of my phone bill. How did telstra allow a telemarketer to access private details of my account?

Caller: Sam from Telstra

Said he was calling from Melbourne and yet the the caller number started with (07) and that is QLD. And even though he was using my name the account that he was talking about was not under my name. Simply told him that I was not giving him any details about myself or the account.

Australian accent on local number saying needed to book in installer for NBN which is now in our area, on behalf of Telstra. Had some information but wanted my details to confirm me. With no prior warning email from Telstra declined to give info. He was very forthcoming with his name, telstra ref number and a 1800 634 055 reply number (which looks to be Telstra's agent).

The giving of reference numbers appears too forced so I went to Telstra chat and they confirmed that they hadnt tried to contact me and if they call out they wont ask any details to verify me.

Pretty convincing, but beware.

Caller: Claimed she was from Telstra checking to see if she could give me a better plan.

Before I spoke I could hear the person on the other end, speaking Chinese, to a colleague.
Claimed she was calling from Melbourne..... on a Brisbane number.

Calls daily but cannot get through as I have a new phone which blocks callers such as these. Will not answer any calls I do not know, have an answering machine which they can leave a message on if they are legitimate.
