Caller: Scam Caller

They keep ringing. Like at least every day for 2 weeks. I've blocked the number from my mobile, but get the Hang Up Call notification on my MacBook and phone. I now have a list of numbers for Unknown Scammer (the name I've given the caller) so I can keep blocking. It's a pain but at least they aren't getting through to me anymore.

Caller: Clever scam!

Caller said he was from Telstra in Brisbane. Number seems to be from Brisbane.
Call centre noise in the background sounds legit.
He asked to verify my name, and knew it as Michael.... so even more legit.
Said he wanted to review my current plan and see if they could offer anything better - OK so far.
Then he indicated the calls were recorder for training purposes - totally legit.
BUT THEN - he asked for my date of birth for verification purposes before proceeding with any account information - RED FLAG!!

If I ring Telstra, yeah, they will ask for this crap. But Telstra doesn't ring me to ask who I am so we can get into my account info!

It was pretty damn clever sounding, so don't let them catch you off guard!

She knew our last Bill amount. Wanted my date of birth. I told her I don’t give my date of birth to somebody I do not know. If she knew my last bill amount from Telstra she should have the other information. Told her we are happy with our plan and phone ourselves if we need help.

don't answer spam callers 😡

Rings every day in early afternoon. I don't answer unknown numbers, so it gets picked up and immediately put down as the phone rings out otherwise and is extremely annoying.

Often calls my mobile broadband number which is not a phone number as such. The 4G device records a message as a missed call. They haven't as yet called my mobile phone number which is interconnected account wise.

This d*ck has called me twice today claiming in the second call to be calling on behalf of Telstra. Suspiciously the landline here had a similar call about ten minutes earlier. These creeps must have hacked some Telstra info since where else would they get info that was not in the public domain?

Aparently from Telstra asking if I’m happy with my plan.

Definitely another good for nothing pest caller. If answered they hang up, if not answered no message left.

3 & 4 times a day, also have changed my number to private and also on DNC register, what a croc. All the telcos need to stop putting profit before customers.

Caller: Apparently a so called telstra company

This number keeps calling me and when I finally did answer there was no reply for a while then I suddenly heard a very soft quiet voice saying “hello” then hanged up. I called back to find out who it was and got a automatic voice machine apparently from “Telstra”. They do not leave voicemails either. I have reported this matter onto Telstra.

These dumb f*cking idiots need to stop. I'm not even the person they're after. I've never signed up to anything in my life. f*ckkk oofffffff

So over this number ring even twice a day. They don't leave a message so I don't answer. But totally over it

i called telstra, this was actually their sales department. the salesman just sounded really scammy.

Seems do not ring register means nothing to them. Calls on landline all the time - hang ups when it goes to answering.
