Apparently overseas people can buy Australian numbers from Telstra so Telstra aren't going to stop them while they are charging them for the number. Because it shows a number and not "Private Caller" people are more likely to answer the call. The fact they are saying they are from Perth and it's obviously a Brisbane number they've purchased seems to validate this information. I never answer any number i don't know because if the caller is genuine they will leave a message.

Scammer called my tablet but I don't use it. These slime-balls need stopping. What a waste of our time. Telstra should crush them. Why aren't they?

This person called "Gary" led me on for ever. Knew all about me including mobile phone numbers which made me think he was from Telstra. Tried to talk me into a new phone. Lost patience with him and hung up.

They call and when I answer they hang up. Annoying.

Called me 3 times but didn’t leave a message and luckily I had been busy those 3 times otherwise I might of got scammed by this loser, didn’t recognise his number so I typed it into google and found this website with all the bad comments about him. Thankyou for providing info about this fool your helping lots of people.

I am actually loving scammers like this calling me. Firstly, I don't ever confirm my name or anything but ask who they are working for so I can report them. Secondly, I cut into their spiel and give them a mouthful of abuse telling them to stop scamming, to get a real job, and what would they think about someone trying to scam their mother or other family member ... but all interjected with a very healthy dose of expletives. Usually they hang up before I even get warmed up. Have fun with them.

Said they were from Telstra in Perth... BULL*HIT The had a Qld (07) number. Getting sick of these AR*HOLES preying on people. Strong believer in Karma, they will get theirs... I wish it so.

Caller: TSA Telco contracted by Telstra, confirmed with Telstra directly on their websites Support Chat line.

When they called, I asked them for my Plan details and they provided them to me straight away, which is interesting as this is private information, so I heard them out., After the call I then started a chat on Telstra's website to verify if they are Telstra as they say they are. see the reply:

Me at 10:53, Aug 1:ok so not all my information is protected by my account as you stated above

I then proceeded to tell them how the way they were doing their marketing is not appropriate and it should be better handled. She passed this onto the supervisor and reassured me that my account details are protected.

Calls every day at 12:00. no message left on message bank. Unknown numbers don't get answered here.

Call my home number daily and on occasions a second time .Don't pick up but that does not deter them.

I Contacted Telstra about this number.
Apparently legitimate contractors for Telstra to organise the NBN changeover.
Just not very customer friendly.

The f*ckheads can keep ringing I am with Telstra it comes up as spam on my phone I just keep blocking cockheads like these people now they just go straight to my message bank so it cost them some money

Calls regularly and doesn't leave a message.

They call my 4G mobile broadband number which won't accept phone calls. They call at least once a day. Telstra messages each call, stating I've missed a call from (07) 3214 0635. Stan.

This number has been calling me every day for past week. I never answer, they never leave a message.

I have BLOCKED this number. Yet still get called. Never answers, just silence.

They say they are from Telstra. NOT TRUE. They say they act on behalf of Telstra. NOT TRUE.
Australian accent. However, I have a password on my account and he could not tell me what it was.
Your best option is to ring Telstra and get a password on your own account. If they cant tell you what it is then they are not from Telstra.
