What rubbish it is when people saying it is Hot Doc. I got a message saying there is a parcel for me to collect and all I had to do was click onto a dodgy link. It is a scam. Are the people who say it is legit part of the scam?

There is definitely hotdoc.com.au appointment creation and appointment reminder / confirm service. BUT, previously the confirm service just asked text reply YES?NO. Now the message is asking to tap a link that is hotdoc.com (no.au). With so many malicious scam text messages lately, no way I will risk it. But the appt details are correct, so I wonder if hotdoc has been comprised...

It can't be ligit when the same number is sending messages to people all over Australia. I don't think all doctor's surgerys would use the same mobile number. Seriously - think people!!

It's a scam saying I have appointment with the doctors that I did not make. I rang up the doctor office thinking they sent it to wrong person but they said it was a scam and not to open the link

Caller: HOT DOC It is HOT DOC a message/appointment site used by a large number of GP's for patients to make appointments through and to be reminded of the day before. If you are unsure of the site check it is authentic with your local doctor who you have made an appointment through.

Caller: Hotdoc A text message from this number may or may not be a scam.
Many GPs and other private medical practitioners use Hotdoc, and if they do you will get a text message from this number confirming your appointment. It will have a link in it, but you can just reply 'yes' to confirm you appointment.
But scammers spoof legitimate numbers all the time, so if you get a text from this number and a) it's not about a medical appointment or b) it about something medical, but not an appointment you made, 99.99% chance it's a scammer spoofing Hotdoc's number. Delete it.
Never click on links in text messages, even if they seem legitimate. It's not worth the risk.
