I typed the web link in the SMS into my laptop (as better security), but the site/link doesn't exist - indicating (yet another) fraud/scam. If legitimate, (1) their name should appear on my mobile AND (2) the web link should work from other devices.

Caller: Hot Doc Genuine call from hot doc. I just text ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and never click on the links. I wish businesses would stop asking people to click on links as it’s a common scammers tool and enables scammers.

It's a scam. the phone number is legitimate but the genuine Hotdoc website has "au" in it (hotdoc.com.au) and not the fraudulent (hotdoc.com). do not press the link button you will lose money

Caller: 0488 826 170 is a SCAM The number claims to be Hotdoc asking you to click a link confirming a Dr appointment. I do have an appointment, but called the clinic direct, I didn't book through Hotdoc. Hotdoc has been compromised for a long time now so don't believe ANY messages they supposedly send. If it were legit, it wouldn't be a random mobile number listed, it would say 'HotDoc' as the contact.

Hot Doc appointments are confirmed by email and not by a message sent to a phone where you have to click on a dodgy link to confirm. Stay clear of these trouble makers. They have a pea racing around their head for a brain

Caller: Hotdoc I disagree. It is not legit. The GP's and other medicos are using the Hotdoc App without the knowledge or approval of their clients and sending private information to a company whose Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are dodgy.
See section 3.2 (d) (iii) B of the Privacy Policy which seems to allows the Hotdoc company to sell our private information to any person at anytime if they can make money out of it.
See section 10.3 of the Terms of Service which allows HotDoc to convert our personal information into their own privately owned information which they can then sell to anyone at any time to make money for themselves, and
See Section 11.2 of the Terms and Conditions where it seems to indicate that I or the GP, or both, will become personally liable for any loss that Hotdoc might make in connection with any issues that might arise to do with their use of our private and personal information.

I just received a random SMS telling me that they can provide a "travel clearance certificate". Supposed to have come from KRMC. A website link was also given but I wouldn't click on it.
