Caller: Matt and Ellie Oak Road wines
was contacted by phone and told I had $50 voucher it was not true . Cancelled order after reading complaints. But they refunded less $25. That is a lesson in cold calls selling wine. written down to experience.
Such bad reviews for a company that has always looked after me very well. Always been happy with the service I receive. Wasn't happy with a wine once and they swapped it over straight away for me. Have ordered wine off Oak Road Estate for about a year now. They have always been helpful. Orders have always been on time. One order Aus Post damaged and they were onto it straight away and sent out a new case, received it within 2 business days. All my family orders from them they have never had any trouble. Do not know how they got my e mail address They are carefull not to list theirs What they do is harassment and a criminal offence. If I cannot contact them then a formal complaint to the VIC police I was approached via the phone to buy a carton of 12 Cabernet Sauvignon bottles
which were to be delivered to my door and left under the stairwell
However I was given Cabernet Merlot and I had to go to the Post Office to claim them
and as I am handicapped with hip problems this was quite an effort for me.
I feel that I should have some compensation for being supplied the wrong wine.
Received a scam call from them. Claimed I had a $50 voucher and used it to push vine. "You only need to spend $89 to use your voucher!". Pretty obvious scam, plus the actual wine is bad, they buy dirt cheap wholesale cleanskins and badge them as Oak Road Estate. Have Noticed all the comments regarding the wine is amazing great services is coming from the same location...? looks like something is abit dodgy going on at oakroad estate! Same scam phone call saying I had a $50 voucher and it was about to expire. I'm on do not call register and don't do surveys. I'll make a complaint about this company to Scamwatch. Can't believe all these other people buy wine over the phone without any research, just believing what the scammer says. I have purchased wine from this website. I am always super impressed...http://oakroadestate.com.au/ Good company, wines are great and they know their stuff So happy these guys called me back after I'd ordered a few months ago. Couldn't remember the name to re order. Sales people were lovely and the wine is top notch. Glad I didn't believe these nasty comments on here, id have missed out. Now I have a whole bunch of family/friends buying from them too! I guess a lot of people think they are wine experts on here, but they're not. These guys are and after I told them the qualities I like in a red they found the best one for me. Have tried a different one this time to mix things up and I love it too. Got a call from these guys selling wine, Checked out their site:
Looks impressive and wines are well priced.
Nice guy called me saying I had a $50 voucher...I ordered case of 12 bottles.
Great prices on my favourite wine! I followed the tracking ID they sent me from Aus Post and everything seems legit
I have purchased 12 bottles of Shiraz from this number from company Oak Road Estate with $50 voucher. I am happy with the wine, its so cheap when you buy in bulk. I will repurchase :) This is oak road estate. I've used service many times and I love ordering my wine in bulk so I always have some bottles to bring when visiting friends houses.
Great variety in the mixed case !
Just got a delivery of Red wines from oak road estate, Very happy with them at such great price! (I got the $50 voucher) I bought 2 cases of Shiraz from Oak Road Estate and they were the worst wine I have EVER tasted. Every week James would call me like a puppy dog begging me to buy more wine and I kept him off for months. I said I only drink organic wine and one day he promises an organic wine Cloudy Bay SB and stupid me agreed to another box and it tasted horrible and made me very very sick. Before I purchased the wine, I was promised a full refund if I did not like it . I tasted a bottle with friends and all of us got sick and I called James but he was very arrogant and rude. He talked and talked and when I wanted to talk, he hung up on me. He refused to give me a full refund until I tried 2 bottles but I refused to try a second bottle and get sick again. James gave me a part refund and I never saw the full amount. Please do not deal with these people who are scammers to make money out of false promises and very unhealthy wines that's dangerous to drink. You will get sick, lose money and promises will not be delivered. Best to buy your wines from a local store. Don't trust Oak Road Estate who labels their own wine with cheap wine while claiming they are as good as expensive wines. They don't care about customer service, they only care about themselves and making money selling crap. Be wary of OAK ROAD ESTATE. The sales consultants use alias names like James and Brad to make you think they have a large call centre.
Do not buy the Private Label Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that they persist in offering at bargain prices. The reason for this is it is actually an SEA blended Chardonnay made with flavours to taste like the same. Do yourself a favour and buy a cheap SEA Chardonnay like Yellow Tail and do a taste test. You can taste the similarity. Wine Australia have been very interested in the sample bottles sent thus far. READ below for other complaints.
"Got pushed into buying a Marlborough Sauv blanc when it arrived the wine tasted horrible
tasted like South Eastern Australia wine and they have wacked there own lablel on it
also was guaranteed it was from cloudy bay no record of it been there what so ever" RYAN
"Also most were not from specific wineries but just generic crap with fictitious labels stuck on the bottles.
I suspect these wines are the unwanted dregs from the bottom of the barrel - tasted worse than cheap bin ends you can buy for a few dollars.
Buyer beware ....price seemed too good to be true and it was!! " CHRISTINA
Oak Road Estate.
Got a call about a $50 voucher from a survey I must of completed but forgot about. Got some SA shiraz. Wasn't too bad, not bad at all.
Oak Road Estate - can't remember who I spoke to but I also had a $50 voucher and used it for a case of merlot which wasn't bad at all.
