The National Hearing Care cold call computer would call me every day - sometimes twice/day. E-mails and phone calls of complaint were useless so I wrote an old fashioned letter to the CEO. Within a few days the cold calls stopped. I hope that the same has happened for you.

For those interested this is what I wrote:

CEO - National Hearing Care
89-91 Peters Avenue
Mulgrave, VIC, 3170

Maybe you are not aware of the loathing that National Hearing Care has acquired in Australia through its policy of cold calling. Please see the reverseaustralia website https://www.reverseaustralia.com/lookup/(03) 9264 9100/ and read some of the comments. There have been 283 complaints since you started this policy and that would be the tip of the iceberg – people only access reverseaustralia when they feel totally exasperated. The cold call number is (03) 9264 9100.

I ask you to think about this cold call policy intelligently:

• cold calling is loathed by the general public because it is thoughtlessly intrusive
• trying to sell products or services via a cold call is pointless – in this age of the internet we research on-line for products or services that we need
• cold calling for hearing aids for people who don’t need them is even more exasperating – when they do need them they will most likely give National Hearing Care a wide berth
• the cold call – in your case recorded voice messages and SMS texts – are relentless, multiple calls each day. Ask yourself, who is going to use the services of National Hearing Care when they are so infuriated?

My simple message is: please cease your cold call policy.

I created an account online with Australia Post 2 days ago and within 1hr and over the last 48hrs I have got over 30 calls and SMS. Thank you to the app WHO CALLED ME who blocks them within 3 rings. don't register with Australia Post either. only other time I got massively spammed was when I txt Sunrise TV to win their cash call. same thing happened.

As other people have suggested, the number may be a call centre for National Hearing Care. I visited a hearing clinic in regional NSW several months ago and they took my contact details. Afterwards, I received regular calls from the number, including today, but as the ID was concealed, I did not answer the phone and no message was left.
By coincidence, I received a leaflet from National Hearing Care today referring to my previous visit and encouraging me to visit again. I assume that the anonymous phone calls are for the same purpose.
I have now placed the caller's number on my phone's 'Do Not Accept' list
