This company keeps calling me every other day and when I answer the phone they just hang up after 5 seconds of sitting silent.
Waste of my time, waste of my work time, waste of energy all round.

One thing more annoying than unsolicited calls is finding the company in question gets its staff to write pithy defensive comments on threads like this. Who wants to get someone phoning them whose first question is to ask whether you're aged 50 to 65? - or whatever she said. None of your business! And when I said no, I was asked if I could think of anyone else that age who could use the test. "Free" - duh. Nobody charges for that first hearing test anyway. I know you're just doing your job, but we're still entitled to be irritated by it, especially if we're on the DNCR.

If you get calls from any companies you believe are breaching your privacy by calling on a private number recorded on the Do Not Call register, then you should report them at https://www.donotcall.gov.au/complaint1.cfm

They DO get commissions AND the callers have minimum numbers they must make so even hangups are counted towards their quotas they don't care - they are just parasites!

EXCUSE ME... I WORK FOR NHC AS A RECEPTIONIST AND THE COMMISSION STORY IS THE BIGGEST LOAD OF RUBBISH.. WE HAVE A WAGE AND WAGE ONLY "NO EXTRA'S" WE ARE A HEALTH PROVIDER ASSISTING PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN ISOLATED FROM SOCIETY TO BE ABLE TO HEAR AND BE INCLUDED IN CONVERSATIONS AND LIFE ITS SELF.

Missed the call.... find its this number.... I've had a silent number for years and normally use my mobile number for everything....

They sent a letter to me at my home address inviting me to have a hearing test, then I was called at my work number. Don't know how they got my details???

My phone rang this morning after 10:00 and when I checked Telstra gave me the number. I think they have rang me before. I often get calls where the caller hangs up without saying a word. But why do they do it? What's in it for them?

Rang me today. Thought the caller was retarded as speech was slurred. Asked me for $30. Told him not interested.

They called my workplace and they keep calling the business number! You cant put a business number on the do not call register!
Did you know that this whole company works on commissions? When a hearing aid sale is made everyone from the telemarketer, to the receptionist to the audiologist gets a commission. This is not right and is unethical in a health industry!
