I wish they would stop calling! They call upto 3-4 times a day. What they are doing is a form of Bullying & Harassment. National Hearing Centres, this is a First & Final Request, STOP THE BULLYING & HARASSING PHONE CALLS IMMEDIATELY!

Listen everyone. I work for NHC just while I’m between jobs, it’s not a long term career goal but it’s just something to give me money to support my kid while I find something in my field. We ask people if they would be interested, we only have this one number and we don’t call past 8pm AEST. If we call you twice in one day, then it will be hours apart and only if we got an answering machine or there was no answer. It’s just a free service and all you have to do nicely is say no thank you. You people who get these calls don’t realise that it’s people just trying to earn some wage to support their family just like everyone else and if you had a person just lose their sh*t at you, how would you feel if they just start swearing at you and telling you that you are just useless and have no brain. People are just rude and need to realise we are all human beings trying to get by in this world. So stop and thinking before you do something that could impact someone. You also need to think about the people who don’t have the confidence to be able to have a customer facing job and that this is easier for them to be able to earn some income, and for a arrogant person just tell them to go f themselves and even worse people telling someone to kill themselves when they are just working had a real impact. WE ARE JUST DOING A JOB!!! Just like you are!!

I spoke with these people cause I thought oh great another spam call and I’ve had them call me a few times, so thought better see who it actually is and it was spam or people hanging up, but no they are just offering free hearing check ups to anybody over the age of 26. I told them that I don’t think I need one and they told me that 1 in 6 Australians suffer from a hearing loss and don’t even know it. They are just promoting their service and it’s just a test to monitor your hearing level, you could have good hearing and still get it done. I didn’t book one in cause I am fine but it’s good to know they are just looking after the good of people cause hearing is one of our main senses and once it’s gone it will be too late to get it back and we will end up having to get those hearing aids in the end. I’d say take them up on the offer and get a good indication as to where your levels are at.

This number keeps calling. Now I learn it's a hearing service....

Is it just me... if you can hear and answer the phone you don't need hearing aids. Is you do need hearing aids you're not going to have a little chit chat with someone over the phone. If you want to help people who might need hearing aids set up a stall in a shopping centre.

To make this plain. Deaf people cannot hear well. To speak on a phone you need to hear. The ones who need this service you cannot reach by this method. So why are harassing people using telephone marketing?

I am deaf. I cannot hear over the phone. I have now noted never to do business with National Hearing care because they have demonstrated a complete lack of understanding how being deaf affects someone. If they did they did they would use a more effective way to reach out.

National Hearing Test.
Called me 3 times in one day! Told them 3 times I'm not interested!
Called me again 4 days later. I totally lost it, and told them to stop harassing me.
(PS: Next time they call I will have a whistle ready!)

We have had about 15 calls, in the past 3 weeks, attempting to get me to take a FREE hearing test through National Hearing care. Despite advising the caller that I was not interested, they kept trying to get me to make an appointment. It appears that they receive a commission for every appointment they arrange. Today I lost my temper and told the caller NEVER to call me again about a FREE test or I would take appropriate action.
