I have lodged a complaint with the Do Not Call Register regarding (03) 9001 0038. When I told the caller she was not supposed to call my number, she immediately hung up!

Guy called me from this number, I told him the number is on the do not call register and he said so what's that got to do with anything. He was asking for a mispelling of my partners name, and confused my male partner as a mrs. I ended up hanging up on him, and he called back straight away in an attempt to verbally abuse me! I lodged a complaint with the do not call register.

I had a call from this number. The man on the other end was a foreigner, who just was telling me his name, and then asking me how I was. It sounded rather seedy, so I demanded to know why he was calling me specifically (as he asked for me by name). Then he decided to make his call properly and said "hello, my name is "'x'' and I represent ''y'', how are you today?'' Even though he was polite, and his error, I suspect was nothing more than a lack of knowledge of the English language (which really isn't his fault, as he clearly was trying to learn), I just hung up, because it was yet again another cold call. He said he was from an information technology system operation firm. When will these people understand that as business owners, we are hardly going to stop using our own people, and employ some stranger who rings up, especially if they are not even in the same country as us and cannot communicate with us properly! It just isn't practical or safe!

Had a call from this number. Asked for us by name and got very rude and snarky when i wouldn't pass the phone on until he told me what the call was regarding. Super rude and dodgy.

Had calls from this number also. All hang ups so far to work out if someone is home no doubt.
A possible option to deal with pestering callers like this one is to use the Call Forward function that is generally freely available from most telcos. Just call forward any calls from this number to the number of another pestering number and vice versa. Problem solved, they will be forever trying to get in touch with other and no doubt completely confused if either end gets through eventually.

I have had this annoying problem with the phone ringing and no one is there when I answer. I was talking to a friend who is pretty switched on regarding telecommunications. He said the telemarketers have a machine that can call several different numbers at once. When one answers, the others drop out, that is why we keep getting phone calls with no one on the other end. Sometimes I even get a ladies voice that says "good bye". Another friend says that if they answer the phone and it's a telemarketer, they leave the phone off the hook and go about their business, this ties up the line so they can't call someone else. I think this works because a friend rang me one day and did not hang up properly and I could not use my phone. I ended up calling his wifes mobile and asking her to hang up the phone, I could still hear their voices until the phone was hung up, even though I hung up and tried to call again.

Missed a call from (03) 9001 0038 just now. The caller didn't leave a message so I'm assuming it's someone doing a survey or similar.

I got a call at 8:15pm, they wanted to send someone around to have a chat. It seems they have local operators in their business, which means someone is accountable if they are calling DNC phone numbers like mine. I would encourage everyone to get them to call around (at a different address, eg a business address) just so you can get more details about the Aust side. The person seemed to say they were IMS Accenture, a US company with Aust offices (07) 3117 4001, (02) 6217 3000, (03) 9838 7000, (08) 6216 5800, (02) 9005 5000. They brag about having 1400 call centre operators, with lots of offices in India. Another common offender is TSA Telco Services Australia in Perth they make a lot of spam calls 1800 634 055, (08) 9327 4098

I purchased a Call Blocker from the UK. This is another number that will be hitting the auto hang up. No ringing - no more hassle - best investment I've made for a while!
