Quantum Market Research calling on behalf of Yarra Valley Water, conducting "important" research to gauge customer assessments of Yarra Valley Water.

Surely if it was important, they might send a letter and/or offer an incentive for people to spend their time offering their opinion.

As YVW is a monopoly (retail and distribution) and there is no possibility of any competition, I can't imagine what their "important" research might entail.

I think it'd be pretty simple. Supply me uninterrupted potable water, take my sewage away, then send me an accurate bill - Thanks.

If you are going to call with something useful leave a message. i see that these guys are annoying other people but if they can leave a message even as a courtesy to say who they are then clearly they are unprofessional and there must be something deceitful behind their calls. Professional honest companies would at least leave a courtesy message. In saying all that Yarra valley water must be be selling of their customer data

There's no such thing as a 'legitimate' market research firm

I don't answer unfamiliar numbers, especially if they are from a State other than my own. Call declined and number blocked.
